The only thing that disappoints me about this recent turn of events is now Philly fans will have an "excuse" when they choke yet again.
T.O. out for the whole playoffs, well they better not play how they did when they lost him originally against the Cowboys because they choked huge. I'm not sure they can win without him, they proved that already we're just going to have to see how they finish off the regular season without him and if they infact do choke, or they wait until playoffs to choke.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (blackadder)</div><div class='quotemain'>The only thing that disappoints me about this recent turn of events is now Philly fans will have an "excuse" when they choke yet again.</div> The Eagles fans shouldnt have an excuse like that for their "AMAZING" team. They feel the whole team is so wonderful and is going to the Super Bowl, now without T.O. they are looking pretty screwed because he's the star on that team. If they do infact use it as an excuse what a poor one it will be, it will just be the real fact that the Eagles are beatable, and choke when the pressure is on and need to step up their game because of injury. We'll see.
Correction, McNabb is our star, not TO. Oh and Bry, our team is amazing with TO, alot better than your over-rated falcons Anyway, yea he's probably gone. I'm not too worried though. We still have Westbrook and plus McNabb is gonna have to run now, and that'll still win. Whether or not it'll take us all the way, we'll see. Still better than the rest of the NFC with or without TO
Ya see Westbrook you saying that doesnt phase me one bit, because I dont praise the Falcons the way you praise the Eagles and make them to be something I'm not so sure they are, they choked without T.O. and I'm pretty sure they will again. P.S. TO is still your star on the Eagles, and if anything the Falcons are under-rated not over-rated they pass under the radar everytime and I'm glad keep underestimating them.
This will be a huge opportunity for McNabb to finally prove himself. If he can keep up good numbers with TO out, I'll become a McNabb backer. Obviously he won't have the same numbers as with TO, but we'll find out who's responsible for his success. I personally think the Eagles could have a hard time from here on out. Without the double team on TO that changes the dynamic of the entire game.
I guess Andy Reid won't have to worry about wearing tights after all. Bummer for Eagles fans. Good news for the rest of the NFC playoff contenders, I guess. Now, if only Vick would go down, the NFC would be TOTALLY worthless in the Superbowl this year. A note about Owens from an article I read today... "He has 77 catches for 1,200 yards, becoming the first Eagles receiver to reach 1,000 yards since Irving Fryar in 1997." "Without Owens, McNabb is left with extremely limited options at wide receiver. The trio of Todd Pinkston, Freddie Mitchell and Greg Lewis have combined for 60 catches, 1,073 yards and one touchdown." Ouch. Time to check the waiver wire.
eagles will be fine. we lasted all these yearsd without him. to quote westbrook, "It'll give other players a chance to step up"
This is ridiculous. This is going to have NO effect on the ealges playoff hopes! I realize HALF of Mcnabbs passing stats have gone to TO, and the other half were opened up by TO's presence, but it wont affect the eagles in the playoffs. Lets look at the facts: 1) Eagles have home-field advantage. TO's injury doesnt change that. 2) Eagles have a bye, so they start in 2nd round. 3) Eagles first playoff opponent will be a 4th seed at best 4) All the other teams in NFC kinda suck 5) Finally, They can lose NFC title game without TO, they have done it last 3 years
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (nflfan04)</div><div class='quotemain'>man, and i almost thought you were gonna take the eagles side for once! </div> I thought I did take thier side.
It's too bad that the rest of the Eagles WR's are terrible. WHo's going to catch the passes... Aligator Arms Pinkston? First Round Freddie? More like First Round Failure.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Pack Attack)</div><div class='quotemain'>Time to give Antonio Freeman a call!</div> LOL, good one! Oh, by the way, the Pack is going down on the 24th
it's doesn't matter anyway, no NFC team can beat the AFC team that goes to the supper bowl, which i think it's going to be a new england win again. but i am from new england so i have a bias...
Good luck to the Pats, they might be dropping two in a row with a visit to the Meadowlands next week...

I hear the Corn Chowder is giving them a run this year...
