Maybe he doesn't suck as much as he appeared to have. If he continues to play this well, Magic can trade him for something decent, like a pick or some big man. Or they may just keep and develop him... I'd think that being 6'10 at SF, he has some potential to be sort of good.
I think he has the occasional NBA Spark, but hes good in the Summer League for a reason... I just don't see it in Johnsen.. someone who has potential. just doesn't get dropped and signed to 10 day contracts and droppped again like that.. He stays if he's going to be worth something or a decent player..
I think he will likely make the team again this year, but get cut midway through the season like last year. I think Snap Hunter and Mario Kasun have good chances to make the team too. Especially Kasun, considering he's a Center and we only have Cato and Declerq right now.
Johnson is showing a tremendous effort in the summer league. Like sportsrock said he'll probably make the team this year but get again. Alot of unknown players are showing promise in the summer league. Hopefully John W. will see some of this potential and put it to work come this season.
