You know, I have nothing to post, I just wanted to get in on this "end your post with a wink" thing. So, here it goes.
Ok, OK. Congratulations on being so cocky all the time, that no wants to congratulate the Eagles. but hey in good sportsmanship...Congratulations!!
haha WHO has told you all about Micheal Lewis? and said the eagles secondary would be fine? only thing that baffles me is how trotter got in the rest i do agree with.
Sheldon Brown should also probably go, maybe even over Lito Sheppard. He's been great this year, it's alway a good sign when you dont hear a players name mentioned. He's shutting people down.
I'm still trying to figure out how Vick made the Pro-Bowl over Favre? It's certainly not based on statistics...
now if i or any eagles fan asked how a player made it over an eagle, wed be ripped for saying that...
Vick's 11-3 record so far this year speaks volumes for what the TEAM has done, but come on... I could see Vick making the Pro Bowl as a running back before I can see him making it as a QB this year. Favre - 3527 yards, 25 TDs, 16 INTs, 88.7 QB Rating Vick - 2278 yards, 13 TDs, 12 INTs, 76.6 QB Rating Even with Vick's rushing totals added in, Favre has 9 more TDs and accounts for 600 more yards. Sure, Favre has four more picks, but he also has 170 more pass attempts than Vick does. In fact, Favre has completed as many passes this year as Vick has ATTEMPTED!!!! He's also been sacked 33 less times, but that doesn't help Favre's case. That makes me wonder why Larry Allen makes the Pro-Bowl AGAIN and Mike Wahle is left sitting at home. But I guess that's a subject for another rant...
And while we're on the subject of Eagles, someone tell me how Jeremiah Trotter made the Pro Bowl at Linebacker?
i guess Trotter got it cuz of what hes done since hes been starting. i mean the players and coaches count more thanthe fans, and they see what hes done so thats probly why he got it i was shocked cuz i heard that there was 9, and i guessed the nine and i couldnt figure out the ninth man, i was thinking westbrook, sheldon brown, or kearse or rayburn
Trotter got it because he was leading fan votes for ST's early in the year, and once he got on defense it took him 3 games to lead the team in tackles behind the line. His stats are solid if you start from the week 10.
i was actually thinkin ST votes and MLB votes, then explain Ike Reese getting on ST midway through the season
It is supprising that Trotter got in. The only snub that Philly got was Hank Fraley. Subjectively speaking, Tra Thomas isn't as dominating as people think and he's getting in on reputation as of late, but, in the weak NFC, I suppose he should start.
A local radio station was putting out the idea that Vick got in over Favre because Favre never actually goes. I also can't believe Moss wasn't selected either. I know that there are a lot of good receivers, but when talking about the best receivers in the league, he always has to be near the top of the list.
I saw a special on ESPN tonight and they talked about "Got in because of the name" picks in the Pro-Bowl. The concensus was Jeremiah Trotter and Champ Bailey were the two main "name" picks. I don't know about Champ, but consider Trotter's numbers versus Nick Barnett's numbers (and I think Barnett's having an average year): Trotter - 58 Tackles 1 Sack 0 Ints 0 Forced Fumbles Barnett - 104 Tackles 3 Sacks 1 Int 0 Forced Fumbles Shit, even Na'il Diggs had a better year! Diggs - 72 Tackles 1 Sack 0 Ints 0 Forced Fumbles I'll bet half the linebackers in the NFC had better years than Trotter did... Ugh! The Eagles DID get screwed, though. How Jevon Kearse didn't make the Pro-Bowl is beyond me. Face it...the Pro-Bowl sucks.
