How about I wait longer than a year to judge him? When does anybody take over a team and rebuild it in one season? Sure, I think that he has done a few unorthodox things so far, but I'll actually give him some time before I jump all over him for it. He certainly hasn't done anything bad enough to merit the kind of criticism he recieves here. Like I've said before, People seem to think that the team he broke up was something special. I hate to tell you all, that team may have been better than the one last year, but it certainly had gone as far as it possibly could.

While OB has to get some of the credit by default, His and the teams success in those seasons were mostly predicated on Harters's unorthodox defensive scheme/gimmick and the workhorse like mentality of AW and PP, who pretty much carried those teams to success. When you've got 2 guys that account for more than 50% of the load and the coaches method of instruction is to let them have free-reign.....
I love the ADD driven hatred of Ainge. He just got here a year ago and he inherited some seroius problems So far, so good Everyone should keep the negative thoughts to a minimum, so as to better prepare yourself to jump on the bandwagon when we are leading the division

I think this is part of the reason why most people bash Ainge and all his moves, the team had gotten past the first round in consecutive years and people didn't want that to end. Most fans don't/haven't realized that Ainge is setting the team up for a much better future than what would have been if he had kept the team together. It may have sold out the FleetCenter, but a Walker Pierce combo wasn't going to be bringing home a 17th banner anytime soon.

And what does Larry Bird's opinion have to do with the Celtics anymore? Bird is just made Ainge hlped the Pistons get Wallace. If you look at the roster, Ainge has brought together a good group of young players who should develop into a good team int he future. I know this season was aggravating and tough to stomach, but if Ainge's three year plan works out, it will have been worth it. What does liking the white man have to do with anything. Welsch is a good player who helped the team this year, he was one of the team's best players this season, much better than Waltah. Though I shouldn't even touch upon this, the Celtics have won championships with the "white man"

But on the topic of worst Celtic ever, I had season tickets for the ML Carr and Pitino years and moved right as OB took over. Well I saw the worst basketball players you could see play. Some centers who played: Dino Radja, Frank Brickowski, Marty Conlon, Travis Knight, Andrew Declerq, and Zan Tabak. I may be forgetting some but somebody in that group has to be the worst Celtic ever.

You want more evidence what about Brent Barry(Ainge wanted a bum), Chris Mihm(good player but we dont need him), and Lafrentz(injured 1st year and we gave them Walker). You celtic fans from other locations dont realize that we are known for being a racist city and we really dont want that kind of heat on us. Ainge keeps saying he'll do something but he never does. I mean come on he was willing to trade Pierce instead of getting a star to back him up. I really have nothing against white players but if were going to win we need a star. Its funny how the 1st time I join, I posted something, and I'm hated by many. I know we have our own opinions but I really am a true fan to the celtics franchise. You really cant say that Ainge is doing anything to help our team because as far as im concerned he had all summer. True the new draft pics were good choices. He wants to find an allstar out of draft pics thats a bad idea. He shouldn't think that he can make us suffer for 2 years then make us decent. We were allready decent when Antoine, Kenny(nothing to do with Ainge), Williams, and Battie were all here. I mean, can you really say that we are going to be playoff contenders next year. Dont think I'm not listening to anything you say or that I'm one of those people that doesn't listen because I think I know everything. We now have a good coach that can actually coach the talent we have, 3 quality 1st rounders, our Center that nobody thought would ever come back re-signed, and don't forget that Ainge also gained the respect of Pierce this summer...something he didn't have last year. Plus, the summer is not even close to over with, there could be more to come. What more can you ask for in 1 offseason? You do not need "stars." You need team players. Guys that have a winning attitude, and play unselfish ball. These "stars" may draw an audience, and make the Sportscenter Top 10 every night, but in alot of those cases, their team doesn't win anything.
