i think that the lakers are better off without GP he whines and gets his ankles broke by Tony Parker( that was awesome)Unfortunately the Lakers must keep him or sign another PG because Derek Fischer is a Warrior. I think they should try to get Mike James or Lindsey Hunter. That way they have a young guy who could help them for a little while. They could also get Rod Strickland and draft a PG that way Rod only plays for 1 year.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting johnny33:</div><div class="quote_post">that makes no sense.. T-Mac can play alongside Yao for the next 10-12 years, if he goes to the Heat, he can play with Shaq for another 4-5 years at the most, then it will be Orlando all over again.</div> Well, your man Yao is definitely a hell of a player, but are you saying he's in the same universe as Shaq?

Getting rod strickland, lindsey, or mike james would be a great move to start ahead of sasha for this year. GP was too much trouble last year and I think he would just slow down are explosive lineup (if Vlade and malone dont already...)
I dont think GP is a bad player. He played in the wrong system. The triangle was not designed for a player like GP. He needs more freedom.......I say keep the guy, and see what he can do this season. Its not like he is under a long term contract. It will also be good to have Sasha play beside him and learn the ropes. GP used to be a premier PG in the NBA and can still bring that experience to help Sasha grow.....
hey why are all of you hatin on fisher? it looks to me like gp doesnt have a ring, and d.f. has three, and he started for the lakers for all of those. talent wise, gp used to be a better player, but now he just complains and watches guys fly past him. fisher is a nice player, coming off the bench or starting, he makes the pass, makes the open three, or can also put in buckets sometimes. i like both of them, but i gotta give it to dfish
Man get rid of Payton I dont remember 1 game last seson he saved the lakers. He sucks I wud waive him.
