<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">At that time, the Pistons also will announce the signing of free agent Rasheed Wallace, their starting power forward. A person close to the negotiations said Wallace would agree to a five- or six-year deal that pays $10 million the first year and had a 12.5 percent raise each season. The total value of the contract would be $48 million or $64 million.</div>nice, now the core is in tact. time to make another run at a title!

    Great news indeed

Sheed and Dice as the two power forwards, Delfino also coming over. Things are looking great once again. Hunter is expected to return but we still need a good outside shooter to round all this off.

    Wesley Person in my choice.

    Wow

Great acquisition by the Pistons, they have a very good chance of repeating next year. They are solid at each position, their bench is ok, they're fast and young and they play good D...

bench is ok? i think the Pistons could possibly have the best bench in the NBA.

    PG: Lindsey Hunter
    SG: Carlos Delfino
    SF: Corliss Williamson
    PF: Antonion McDyess
    C: Darko Milicic

there are some "if's" in there, but i can't think of a better bench in the NBA.

    Smart move.

This is definitely the best option for Wallace. He plays a great role with the Pistons, and doesn't have to carry the workload like he's done with previous teams. The fans in Detriot love him, and now they have him locked down for years to come.

Great move by the Pistons. They now have the core of the team back in place. I believe that they could make another run at the title now. It's very likely because this team is now familiar with eachother and they already have fantastic chemistry. It's gonna be tough to not consider them a contender.

Yea one of the "better" ones but not the best. IMO, Sac, Spurs, Wolves got a great bench.

Wallace is a smart man after all. And its not all about the money. Good to see. Now go wreck Havoc on the East and give Shaq a tough time! Love the guy, but he has to pay for leaving the Lakers! MUAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

I heard the deal is 5 years for about 57million.

We are bound to hate this deal towards the end of it, but the gold trophy is the goal, and Sheed gives us a legit chance to win it the next 2 years.

I'm still dissapointed Sheed didn't seem very excited to hurry up and sign with the Pistons. Cash [$$$] Rules Everything Around Sheed, got the money... dolla dolla bill yall.

lets just cross our fingers, eyes, legs, and toes that CTC doesn't come back from his 4 month hibernation.

Great move for the pistons hes really got a good connection with Ben which really showed in the Finals.

They have a great frontcourt and a good backcourt and altogether they play great defence.

They're gonna go deep in the playoffs [IMG]
