<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Just two days after signing his first NBA contract worth $11.3 million, Howard is close to signing a shoe contract with adidas that could be worth more than $30 million. Howard's father, Dwight Howard, said that his son's shoe deal could be finalized as soon as today. Aaron Goodwin, Howard's agent, characterized the talks with adidas as being "real close," but he noted that Reebok is also in the running for the top pick in last month's NBA Draft. Goodwin also represents LeBron James, last year's top pick and NBA Rookie of the Year. Goodwin negotiated a $10 million signing bonus and a record-setting $97 million shoe deal with Nike for James last year. </div> Full Story
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting MainMan:</div><div class="quote_post">adidas are horrible shoes, dang sign w/ reebok</div> Whatever pays the most money is the best deal for him. No matter if the shoe is ugly or not.
He aint worth that much money. He should do a shoe contract with Payless like Hakeem Olajuwan and Shaq. And no orlando player needs to join a shoe company, unless its payless, BABAY!!!!

Timflem said it best, whichever company pays him the most is the best deal. And how is he not worth it? For one, he was the number one draft pick this year. Shoe companies are acting like GM's - they are basing everything off potential.
Hey Ice breaker, we can write anything I want. You dam Orlando Tragics! You give up your best player for a hasbeen good player. CHOKE A CHICKEN, BABAY!!!!
Reebok and Adidas are both horrible shoe companies. They dont have wear and tear durability. Go with the quality kicks of Nike.
Evryone saying reebok is better knows jack <censored> about shoes. Adidas has been making its comeback, and iwith the signing of Dwight and Telfiar, it looks like they are becoming a real challenge for nike.(BTW, Nike does not = quality just because its expensive). Dwight is making a good choice with Adidas(with its good future). But it really doesn't matter which shoe compnay an athlete signs with(performance wisE) the shoe does not make the athlete. And the athletes get a new pair every game(however some, like Dirk, prefer more broken in shoes). So it doesn't matter, most athletes just go for the cash.

Anyway hope all is well now that he is suspended BTW Orlando Magic fans are great!
^^^ Yes we are If Dwight doesn't turn out to be a bust, I'm getting the shoes no matter what brand produces them. Some appearance/price restrictions may apply...

And1 are alright the soles and upper lip wear easy. I hope his shoe has a cross on it or something that would be funny as hell
What are you guys talking about? Adidas is the best. Nike is all business they suck specially their CEO. Rebook is alright, but Adidas is better..If he signs with Adidas I'm getting his shoes, since I don't have a favorite right now and I don't want the T-Mac's 3.5..
