The Clippers should sign this guy from there Summer League team. I've been watching him since he was a freshmen and he has improved since then. He's probably the best player on the court of the guys not signed on the Clippers roster. They signed him last year, but cut him because of Brand's and Kamman's injuries in the begining of the season. So they had to sign a back up center. I really don't keep up withe the Clippers, but since he has a very good shot of making the team I will keep up with them more. The Clippers GM said they are very interested in Quinton Ross. They love his all around game. What they like most is his defensive ablities, he has very long arms and is very quick. He has great ball handling skills and the his only weakness is that he needs to improve his shooting range. Thats what the GM said during the first Summer League against the Knicks this past Saturday night. I watch many games at SMU, and he's a good shooter, but once he gets around the 3 point line he isn't as good of a shooter. I would think he's an average shooter from the three point line. To me he has put up some pretty impressive numbers for the summer league so far. He's so unselfish, many guys only think for themselves when it comes to the summer league. He likes to get his teammates involve and when he does have a chance he likes to go to the basket and draw the foul. And he's a tremendous free throw shooter. As of the first two games I think he is 15 for 15. A great rebounder too, and gets many steals. Anyway I just thought I would share my information on Quinton Ross with you Clipper fans. I hope he makes the team and helps the Clippers out this coming year.
He just got out of his contract in Belgium. He only could do this when he signed with an NBA team,so he probably will be a Clipper soon. <div class="quote_poster">Quoting Bulldog13:</div><div class="quote_post">The Clippers should sign this guy from there Summer League team. As a Belgian, I am wondering why Quinton Ross (Clipps) and Didier M'Benga (Dallas) will make it to the NBA, while better players in our league don't? Marcus Faison (Sienna 2000) is for example widely regarded as a better player than Ross on the same position. Why is this guy not playing in the NBA? The Belgian league is not even a topleaugue in Europe, so even better players can be found over here, that are not making the NBA. Is the only reason that these guys don't really have the NBA dream and are not playing in all kinds of summerleagues or are there reasons that we overlook here in Europe? So my question basically is: why exactly Quinton Ross? There are players out there that are certainly not worse...
