<div class="quote_poster">Quoting olskoolFunktitude:</div><div class="quote_post">kidding. WTF?? I dont have to "back up" that michael jordan is better than pervis ellison. this the same case but much closer to the middle of the talent spectrum. Kenyon martin is an above average power forward, but if he chooses to sign with another team he will need to prove that he can be that without jason kidd. Carlos Boozer in just his second year averaged 15.5 points and 11.5 boards a game. Martin didnt do 15 a game untill his 3rd year and has never in four years come close to 11.4 boards a game and Boozer did it despite playing on a team with a 7'3'' center and a 6'8'' point guard. Martin is supposed to be the main man for points and rebounds on his team and his numbers still arent as good as boozer.the key stat here: this year Martin despite playing in 10 less games than Boozer had EXACTLY the same number (900) fg attempts and shot 35 points worse a fg% than Boozer. I think it's hilarious that the maker of this thread was so biased in Boozer's favor that they went so far as to capitalize his name in the thread title.

Apparently subilimal attempts to influence the vote didn't work, because the vast majority of votes thus far have gone to Kenyon MARTIN.

Martin is not the main man to goto if the Nets want points. RJ is the number one option in the half court set. In Martins second year he averaged 14.9 points, and he played less minutes than Boozer. He doesn't clean up the boards like Boozer, but is much better defensivly. Boozer is not quick on 1 on 1, where K-Mart is. Boozer cant block shots, K-Mart does that as a living. Boozer can get about 4-8 points a night with his defensive effort, but Kenyon Martin can save his team 10-15 points with his Defense, and not allowing people like Booz getting on the glass. Your last stat makes no sense at all. 35 Percentage points worse than Boozer? He had a FG % of .488, im pretty sure that Boozer didn't have a FG % of .838. [IMG]

You didn't own anyone with that argument. He simply forgot the decimal point, which you probably realized but chose to ignore for the sake of your argument. Yes, Boozer did shoot about 3.5% better than Kmart. While I do agree with you that Kmart is better I think it's silly that you are using olskools typo to try and make it seemed like your argument is better.
