I don't like that trade, cuz we don't need them, theyll end up like harrington one of them........keep artest and J.O. and you have a good team, not take all those players for one of the best all around players in the game!
WoW!?!? <div class="quote_poster">Quoting artest_629:</div><div class="quote_post">:thumbsdow I HATE DIS TRADE!!!!!! </div> BEN WALLACE SHOULD BE 3 TIME DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR....ron artest is in NO way a better defender than him. rON artest had to punch richard hamilton in the face in the playoffs because he was scoring at WILL....please reply soon
Well at first I thought this was horrible, but it's not actually that bad for the pacers. There line up would look something like this Tinsley/Johnson Wells/Miller Jackson/Battier Oneal/Bender Foster/Pollard Wells is a better offensive player than artest and Battier would be nice backup a the 3. It's good for Memphis too because they get rid of two players that they don't really need and get a lockdown defensive player in return. I may be wrong but I think this a pretty solid deal.
If it aint broke than dont try to fix it. I know you are better than Detroit, you came up 4 points short, and Indiana had the best record. Look what happened to Dallas, we were on top with Van Exel once we traded him we are on the verge of looking in, come playoff time.
Gives the pacers some depth, and we know the Grizz have more than enough depth themselves. Looks like a good trade to me for both teams, although im not sure i would get rid of Artest.
For the Grizzlies I think it would make sense.. Jerry West has a lot of tradeable talent on his roster and even though it makes for a good team it is by no means a championship contender.. He has a lot of pieces that he can trade to get big talent though. Artest would seem like a good enough target.
if I was Indy, I wouldnt do it...Artest is the heart and soul of Indy's defense and I dont see why you would want him to, plus you could get so much more in return...

For the Grizz it would take away what they've worked so hard to build ever since the team was created. for the Pacers, I would say it is a great trade. first off, Artest is a hustle player and yes, he does work very hard on the court. But, he is not a better defensive player than Ben Wallace. IMO, he is over-rated as a defensive player. Bonzi Wells would be a good ofensive addition, as would Battier. I've seen Bonzi play a lot, being in Portland, and I definitely think that he was a good player I'm not commenting about his off-court activities.
theyd be done if they did that, pacers i mean. Artest is the most important player in defense, they wouldnt have gotten far. Wells isnt bad, thats true, but whats pacers gonna do backcourt?
