I just heard on SportsCenter that the Shaq trade has been halted because the Lakers were not aware of a 15% trade clause in Lamar Odom's contract until now which states that he is to immediately receive a huge cash lump sum of something like 9 million dollars up front as soon as the trade is made official. Apparently this was initially overlooked by the Lakers and the trade is on hold for now until something is figured out. I am really hoping this prevents the trade from going down and we don't get Shaq. When I first heard this on SportsCenter I was pumping my fists in the air yelling "YES!" lol, that's just how much I don't want Shaq coming here.

I'm also glad Shaq is not going to the Heat. This trade does not make sense for either team and anything preventing it from happening I'm all for it. The Lakers might leverage this to force Wright to be part of the deal. I was counting on Brian Grant not being able to pass the physical to end this proposed deal, but this 15% trade clause will suffice.
