With, the possible loss of Trenton Hassel to the Nuggets, what does this mean for Ndudi Ebi? Wally will start if hassel doesnt return, but will that force Ebi to step-up his game and become a regular back-up? or will the wolves go out and get someone to back up or even start in front of walley? Ebi, in olny his second year, and probobly not ready to see significant minutes would then be forced into a role he may not be ready for, however, maybe he is ready and will come out, and prove all the critics wrong, but is this a safe risk for the wolves to take? or, would they go with a smaller line-up and place Spree at the 3, as he played in NY, however this does, lower the depth of the Minnesota bench. And moving spree only creates a need for a back-up at the 2, the wolves need to sign a 2 or a 3, or just rely on Ebi.

God forbid that we lose Trenton but if we do, we'd sign someone like Bobby Sura to back Wally & Spree up.

McFlip's already said that ND won't play many minutes this year but that he's making progress & they like what they'll get from him when he matures.

I dont think he would start since we still have wally. Mabye if he continues well in the summer league he could be a backup. Most likely we will match portlands offer though and keep him with us for 4 more years. If we trade wally or someone gets injured then he will get alot of minutes.

i like a lee nailon. or we trade wally for mash and jr smith. hoiberg can start if wally gets injured. we can also hope ebi can step up. Another option is trading wally for maurice taylor and adrian griffin. then wee have another g/f plus maurice taylor. thenhave kg start at sf, and taylor at pf.

Ebi playing major minutes? Even if Hassell does leave... we have Hoiberg to be in front of Ebi in the foward position (since THud will be back as the backup PG) and the Wolves would be retarded not to sign another vet... Ebi will get limited minutes (99% junk minutes). No question.

Lee Nailon would be a horrible choice, Nailon can definately score everyone has known that since his days at TCU, but the reason why Nailon has a hard time finding a home in this league is D. He cant guard anybody. He cant guard power forward despite having the size to do so. And he is to slow to guard small forwards out on the perimeter. So you can replace Hassell at SF with a guy who cant defend even if Nailon would be just coming off the bench for a few minutes, thats just to much of a drop off in the team defensive concept.

If the Wolves lose Hassell, then in my opinion their best bet is just to role with a rotation of Wally,Spree,Hoiberg at the 2-guard and small forward spots. And if they do bring in another wing player to add to the rotation it has to be someone with a certain level of defensive commitment.

Jamal Mashburn career is probably over. And now way does New Orleans give up JR Smith in any trade let alone one for Wally S. after they went out & got Morris Peterson, who isnt as good but a much cheaper shooter/scorer. The Hornets probably have no futher interest in Wally.

And the Rockets need a point guard, so if they were to give up Mo Taylor it would be as part of a deal to land them one.

I always wondered about Ndudi Ebi. Because i don't hear about him much, but didnt he used to be a prodigy or something?

Hes still way to undersized (wieght) to even attempt to play a NBA season will full minutes.
