According to the Los Angeles Times, Richardson is hoping the Clippers do not match the offer, even if they lose out on prized free agent Kobe Bryant. "It's time for me to move on and be a Phoenix Sun," he told the Times.</div>

Nooooooooooooo......that's all I can say, I hope Marion doesn't get traded for garbage, I'd rather have Marion and JJ than JJ and no defense Q, but whatever.

    Hrm..

Wow you would have a pretty good team here.
Nash, Q, Marion, Amare, whoever the center is.
If they trade Marion chances are Suns will make the #8 seed IMo.

How is having Q better than having Marion? If we could trade Q for a center I'd be happy as opposed to trading Marion to acquire Q.

    are you kidding me?

Marion is an amazing player, but i would not say the suns are screwed if they trade him for a center.

Richardson has so much of an upside and you guys are mad about having him sign an offersheet? I know Marion is good he can play too but if you get Q you have a deadly back court and if you trade Marion for a good center you have a talented starting line. Marion over JJ? No.

Now, that Bryant has resigned with the Lakers, it could be possible that the Clippers match this offer sheet. Even if the Clippers match it, it's not going to hurt the Suns that much. They really don't need QRich unless they plan on trading Johnson or Marion.

I'd rather trade Q, I don't see how much more upside he has than JJ? JJ is younger, a better all-round player, and a better defender.
Marion is 26, but Q is 24, and their's really nothing Q does better than Marion, except posting up.

Yeah, I think that LAC may indeed match for Richardson now that Bryant has re-signed with the Lakeshow. Maybe Phoenix redirect their funds towards Dampier if this happens?

Alternatively, if the Clippers decide not to match, which is still possible... I think Shawn Marion is gone. Sure, he's a great player and all, but the Suns have a large hole at C. Adding to that, the blow is softened in that you have two quality players on the wings in JJ and QRich, who are going to give you 16/6. This is Amare's team, so they Phoenix need to complement him, rather than put a team of All-Stars out there. Get a defensive minded center, and the Suns will be a perennial playoff team.

Then again, they may just end up resigning Keon Clark.

amare makes the moves for the teams right now and he wants q rich so they gonna try to keep q.... and i think he likes marion more than joe....so joe could easily be out for a center especially since maare said he wants a better center......

...but Shawn Marion can get you a better center, that and Jerry Colangelo will be very happy to be rid of his contract. It doesn't really matter whether you have JJ/QRich, Marion/JJ, QRich/Marion, so you might as well trade the person who can deliver you the highest reward - Shawn Marion.

I hope we don't trade anybody this team is gonna have a legit chance to not only make it to the playoffs but really surprise some people. If we sign a center via free-agency we will not lose our excellent core group and add a decent Center as well (Przybilla, Ostertag, Traylor, Vlade). DO NOT TRADE ANYBODY!

Well, I'm glad someone appreciates Marion and doesn't want to trade him:) It's especially important if it's AMare. It'd hurt to lose JJ as he is more versatile than Q. JJ's trade value isn't very high right now I'd bet. He's only had half a season of good performance. If he does as well next year (coming off the bench?) then his value will be huge but he will be a RFA then

I really do not believe that there will be a conflict in term of playing time with Q, Marion, and JJ. I think that if Q is signed (which now seems to be very unlikely) that he will certainley be coming off the bench. This dosen't mean he will not get quality minutes though. In JJ, Q, and Marion you will surely see many differant lineups where each of these players will definrtly see at least 30 minutes a game. I think the front office saw after last season that 40 mpg for JJ and Marion was to much, and I definely agree. I think Q and the frony office realizes what they are getting themselves into, and I believe that it will greatly benfit this franchise.
