Where do we go from here?

With the latest acquisition of Brian Skinner, we have pretty much have our back-up frontcourt set (PF/C). Brian Skinner alongside Marc Jackson should provide us with some toughness, so they should be okay. I still think the 76ers will target another big man; maybe a wildcard big man that will get spot up minutes. Well that being no longer being a concern, what do we know? Well we’re in need for a PG. Eric Snow is solid PG, that’s compliments Allen Iverson very well. He’s done so for about 6/7-years now, and unlike Derrick Coleman, Snow is not in the same boat…as in he “must have to go”. However, since Iverson and Snow run back in 00-01, they haven’t had much success with each other, so it may be time for Snow to move on. But it’s not like we must get rid of him, but if we do happen to ship him to another team we could get some quality players in return.

The Rockets show interest in Snow, but if we decided to trade Snow whom would we get in return? Jim O’Brien loves players who could shoot the rock. So what about Eric Piatkowski? He’s not that bad of a player, and he could shoot the 3-ball exceptionally well, therefore that would spread out the floor for Allen Iverson and he would be able create for himself and others. Piatkowski isn’t as valuable as Eric Snow, so we would probably be able to get 2 players for Snow.. I’m not saying we should trade Snow for Piatkowski straight up, but it would be nice if he was thrown in the mix for Snow. And on top of that Snow has a little bigger contract than he deserves, so trading him could clear up come cap room.

An ideal PG for the 76ers would be Jason Terry, but that might be a little too far-fetch. I doubt it would be possible to acquire him unless if we ship away Dalembart or a three-way deal would happen to go down. Nonetheless, the Sixers have to do something at Guard positions, and I wouldn’t mind seeing Aaron Mckie leaving as well.

I dont like trading Eric Snow for Piatkowski, yeah he is a good shooter but I dont think we should give up are team captin(one of them) for a simple role player. Also I like keeping Mckie remeber he was top ten in 3 point FG % last year and he usally steps up when AI is down.

BUt I do think bringing in another big man would do us good, someone like Keon Clark, when he plays good and when he is healthy he is very very agressive and is a decent offensive threat,he can also give us decent BPG.

Well, I've been reading a few articles stating that Billy King would still like to trade for a guard/slasher. I really think he still needs to do more this off-season because Skinner and Andre arent gonna cut it and put us in the playoffs next year.

I not sure if Skinner is a 5 or a 4, but if he is a 4 then Kenny Thomas and Skinner would have to split up the minutes and Thomas wouldn't like that. Thomas is a major contributer to the Sixers. Maybe Thomas could be bait.

It seems as though the Sixers have a good team, if you think about it. Just for some reason, last year we just didn't click. I think we'll go to the playoffs this year, though.

Why do we need another big man, we have enough in Sammy, Skinner, and Kenny, and also Marc Jackson as a back up? What we need right now is a guard, Eric has been going downhill for a while now, and we need to insure his spot. Also Keon Clark is a cancer to any team, the guy struggles when it comes to playing as a team, he has troubles with all his teammates, and the staff. That is why he wasn't signed last year.

No. There have been lots of talks to sliding Kenny over to the three. This would give us a pretty nice backcourt of Brian at the five, Sammy at the four, and Kenny at the three. Marc Jackson would come in whenever needed, same with Robinson.

The 76ers should basically give Snow away and pickup Philly Native Temple product Lynn Greer.

Lynn Greer- The 6-1 former Temple (1997-2002) point guard had an outstanding season in the Euroleague this year with Idea Slask in Poland, averaging 25 points (best in the Euroleague) and 5.5 assists (second best in the Euroleague) in 14 games on excellent shooting percentages. He came in 2nd place for the Euroleague MVP award after Arvydas Sabonis and was voted to the all Euroleague 1st team for his performances. Greer was cut last summer by the Milwaukee Bucks during summer league but he was easily the most surprising player in Europe this season and was quickly signed by Dynamo Moscow from Russia for 800,000 dollars next year, considered to be very good money for a player his age. He would have easily made our list otherwise, but is not a free agent. Scouts will be watching him closely next season and another impressive year should be enough to pave him a path back into the league.

Never heard of him, but by saying that Arvydas got the MVP instead of him with Arvydas's age is hillarious.
