I think he will end up at around 19-20 points per game. and 9.8-10.2 rebounds. 2-2.2 blocks.2-3 assists as well. play around 36 minutes per game.

    Yao
    PPG- 19.7
    RPG- 9.3 ------Pathetic for a 7 foot 5 man
    APG- 3.1
    BPG-2.4
    SPG-.03
    FG- 40% FG
    78% FT

Yaos a pansy. He Hasnot even averaged a double double yet and hes 7 foot 5. Hes not nearly aggresive. I dont know why people consider him to Shaq. Prolly cuz hes the 2nd best by a long distance. He will never have the accomplishments of Shaq. Heres Shaq and Yaos send season stats

    Yao
    FG%-522
    3 Pt- 0%
    FT % 80%
    RPG- 9
    APG- 1.5
    SPG- .27
    BPG- 1.90
    PPG- 17.5

    Shaq
    FG- 599%
    3 PT- 0 %
    FT- 554%
    RPG-13.20
    Apg- 2.4
    SPG- .94
    BPG- 2.85
    PPG- 29.3

By looking at these stats in their sophomore years I would guess Shaq has the better future. Yao will not win a MVP award. Shaq owned Yao in every category except FTs and Shaq was in a league with much more star centers for compettition.

wtf 40% FG percentage for yao, hey dude u know that is bs.

Well i agree u that yao will never be as good as shaq(no one in the next 2 decades will) butta that didnt stop him become a all time greatest. Yao will only get improved as time goes on. I know u r a ROcket or Yao hater. Plz we expect truth only.

Ace2k, Yao will never get such a pathetic percentage in FG (40%). Are you kidding?

Anyways, Shaq is a special player and we all know it. Although I'm inclined to agree with you that Yao won't be as monstrous as Shaq, at the same time, it's a little too early to jump the gun and conclude anything. Like lamarodom007 said, Yao will improve. Who knows what kind of season Yao will have once he has his breakout season. The best has yet to come.

until the man can learn to become a monster he wont put up huge numbers. The guy does not go up strong to the basket and is too passive on the floor. He is lucky Shaq went east. But the big boys of the west will still muscle him around
