<div class="quote_poster">Quoting AllNet:</div><div class="quote_post">Stubborn? you fail to realise how the salary cap works obviously. Even without Kenyon Martin's big salary the Nets would still be over the cap, which is why the Nets owner doesn't want Martin to return. Allen is expected to be a free-agent next summer where he will likely demand more than what K-mart has this year (90 million over 7 years) That is way out of New Jersey's price range.</div>

The Nets will have only 5 players under contract after the upcoming season. The total salary for those 5 players is $21M. Even if we give RJ the max, that would come out to 31M. We still would have about 13-14M left. We could easily sign Ray Allen for that money.

The Nets not including Jefferson would be around 26-28 million payroll and RJ will demand no less than 10-11 million a year If not more, which would leave no room to sign a guy like Ray Allen. He will be demanding ALOT of money, with Mcgrady not deciding to opt out he would be the biggest guard on offer. Some teams would likely offer him the max.

You also seem to forgot your owner wants to cut down costs and keep them down for when they move. Trying to Sign Ray Allen to a deal is not what he's looking to do.

and lastly...Don't mouth off to me, or any mod. Consider that a warning.

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">It seems like you dont want anyone to say anything wrong about Ray Allen and you want him to stay a Sonic his entire career. Too bad buddy, it aint happening!</div>

I could care less If Ray stays in Seattle, I would like him to be in a winning situation by playing with a low post player where his skills will be taken notice even more. Obivously he won't have that in Seattle or in NJ, I also doubt he would want to live in New Jersey.

You obviously dont know anything. Who made you the moderator around here? The only contracts the counts against the cap is of Kidd,Williams and Planinic. Kidd will make 16M, Atrain will make 3M and Planinic will make $900,000. Calculate that....I know its hard for you but use a calculator. Thats 19M. Lets make 20M. The cap is at 44M. What does that leave us with? 24M! Jefferson gets 10M. So we would have 14M to sign Ray Allen.

You don't need to be the actual player to realise NJ is well......a dump.

It wouldn't be wise to try me, when posters mouth off to mods nothing good ever happens to those posters.

Now that you are not clearly not correct about the Nets cap situation how about this thread gets back on topic to K-mart on the verge on become a Denver Nugget.

Don't know anything? You would be alone in that thought.

Anymore crap from you and you will be suspended.

    Kidd 16 million
    Mourning 5 million
    Williams 3 million

Now to me that equals 24 million and could be 26 million depending If the Nets keep Collins which has a quailfing offer to be made.

Jefferson getting over 10 million a year would put them up to 34-36 which clearly wouldn't be enough for Allen.

Um..Mourning isnt playing this upcoming season. If he doesnt play this upcoming season, that would take his contract off the books. Rod Thorn has been saying that for the past two months. Where the heck have you been?

He is still under contract, It isn't known If he will ever play again but Mourning has not stated he wouldn't ever play. Todd MacCulloch hasn't played for the past two seasons and his contract is and will still be on the Sixers payroll.

now on topic... It is good to see atleast NJ is getting something out of this...those 3 picks should be int he high 20s though...I expect Denver to be a contender in a year or two..
