The trade wasn't lopsided for one reason and one reason only. Nets didn't have a choice. Because Kmart was going to sign the fornt loaded contract, the Nets either had to make a trade or lose him for nothing. Because Kmart was under the rookie scale, the only thing they could get to match salary was the three picks. Three picks is better than nothing. Kmart is a great two way player, he's tough, played "D" and can score in spurts. He's onrey, but I think that the Nuggets downfall may be decided by team chemistry. We all shaw some questionable judgements and actions by Melo last year. I can see that if he and Kmart don't blend the Nuggets will have tons of problems. He (Kmart) didn't get along with Van horn and other Nets players have been known to call players out and be disruptive. If Melo and Mart gel, they are a top 4 West team for the next 5 years, if not, more troubles will continue for an up and coming Nugget team.
^^You need someone like KMart on your team. Someone who's not afraid to voice out if he feels that something's wrong. You can't play soft when KMart's on your team.
yes if you are going to lose might as well get something unlike that orlando situation with Shaq when they got nothing in return for him. Three picks may be we will get a steal in the draft and get a sleeper like jefferson even though we didnt draft him and we traded for him but Griffen would have been great but he was fluke (hopefully he can get his act together and play good enough)
i say thsi is one of the dumbest trades in history. WHy some gay fucking draft picks?!?!?!!?!? i udnerstand of it was one of two with a player, but just three draft picks!!!! this bruce ratner guy is an idiot and is leading the nets to hell once again. oh yeah and martin will hate this trade as well. He will not do so well in the west playing against duncan, garnett, and co. He needs kidd or a great point guard to develope his game more, but it probably wont happen in denver. i think he wil lwant a trade pretty soon
well andre miller is a great pg he led the nba in assist 2 seasons ago with the clippers b4 they broke up that team that had a great chemistry with richardson, odom(but he was injured), brand, miles and maggette. now he has a team with offensive power all they need now is a decent 3 pt shooter and they are set.
I understand about K-Mart getting traded and it's the ebst the Nets could get because he was out anyway...it really hurts though because I'm a huge nets fan...but this one puzzled me...Kerry Kittles for 1, yes 1 second round draft pick. What were they thinking??? Was it because his contract was too much money? The New Jersey Nets are deffinately going downhill, Jason Kidd better get out of there soon...
