The Hornets have interest in Mo Pete, its reported that they're close to signing a deal for 2 years with an option, just heard on the FAN 590. If they do sign him to an offer sheet, the Raptors have 15 days to match, because he's an restricted FA.
^I heard on the Fan 590 they said Charlotte had interest, meaning the Bobcats, unless he didn't know what he was talking about.
Hmmm... I think we should keep Mo, he's real good and he's gonna be an allstar when he gets his chance to shine but until then he's gonna have to sit tight.. BTW why did Mo get benched this whole season because I remember he used to be a starter and he was good too not that he isnt now but why did he get benched last season?
I dont think he'll be an all-star anytime soon. But youre right, he can do well if he gets the time and a running system might be good for him.

Mo Pete started in place of Vince that year and was largely inconsistent. I think he got benched last year for standing at the 3 point line and remaining there, not doing anything else. I'm not a big fan, if his shot isn't there he's pretty much useless because he doesn't do much else. He never even drives anymore, he just takes 3's.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting ADubb20:</div><div class="quote_post">It was KO who basically told him to sit there and shoot threes.</div> But it wasn't just last year...pretty much after his first 1.5 years, his inside game has been non-existant. He's content to just sit there and hoist up 3s. In his second season 30% of his fg attempts were 3s, 32% in his third and last season it was 58%. Those are high percentages, especially considering we've always needed him to drive to the basket.
i think mo pete is more of a slasher and cutter, but KO's offense didn't have that type of player, therefore his role was wait in corner, and vince drives kicks it out for wide open 3s.

Maybe KO had something to do with that last season but it's been a trend that started even before KO was brought in as coach.
We all agree that Mo is inconsistant, however he does bring hustle and defense to the Raps everygame. He was one of our best defenders last year with Curry. One of his best games was against NO, where VC went down, and he shut down Baron Davis. By the way, anyone got news on Curry?
I hope MoPete stays. He's our best permieter defender and is a great finisher He'll thrive in the new offense. But if he asks for too much, then he's got to go.
I still think Alvin is still our best perimeter defender, injuries and all....Mo Pete is a close second and he is improving, he takes charges very well, I can tell he is working harder on playing better defense. now if he could only work on his offense
what is with this talk of "when he gets starter minutes" and "when he gets his chance" do you people even WATCH raptor games? do you even have a clue? mo pete has had PLENTY of starting opportunities...he's had starter minutes plenty of times. mo will never be an all-star...but he's out best perimeter defender, and he can shoot...id like to see him stay a raptor
If the Raptors resign Mo-Pete, we're gonna have a hell of a bench! Think D-Marshall, Mo-Pete, A-Dub coming off the bench... what a luxury!
That'll be pretty sick. 3 Starters from last year (Mo started 29 last year and started the previous 2 years), on a bench. Big upgrade from last year.
actually, thats a terrible bench, mopete is inconsistent and he isn't going to improve in 1 year, marshall is talented and good of the bench. alvin would be great if he is healthy. stay tuned on the last one! also, although rafer is talented, i dont think he is going to solve much of the raptors problems. he isn't exxperienced as a starter. i think we should sign and trade mopete for some veteran size like babock wants. that raps won't improve much from last year unless babock comes up with at least 1 or 2 player movements, whether trade or FA signing

You said that it's a terrible bench and then the only negative thing you provide to support your argument is that Mo is inconsistent. He may be is inconsistent but he's a valuable asset to the team as far as defence and 3-point shooting is concerned - he's not starting so even if he disappears for a game, there are other options like Alvin Williams and Roger Mason Jr.. Another thing, how is Rafer not experienced as a starter? He started 28 games last season for the Heat when Dwayne Wade went down. Only move that I hope Babcock can pull off is trading Lamond Murray, even though the chances are slim.
