    Who cares.

at least the buttkissing will finally stop. You know Chapstick made a lot of money the past week.

I don't know how you guys can give this fool the satisfaction that you all were hoping and praying he would stay. That he's got these 2 teams willing to tear up there franchises for him. That he has this much affect on the population. (shakes head in disgust)

It's downhill from now on for the Lakers. Kobe has already shown he cannot carry a team.

Yes, he better not have come to the Clippers, after he seemingly dismantled the Lakers he owed them coming back.
.....and we wasted two players on second round picks, stupid garbag [IMG]

Uh...ok. Good luck Kings (someday they'll make the Finals).

I gotta agree with both the Lakers and the Kings fans here. The Kings will make it someday, but not yet. And the Lakers are not going to get any more jewelry for a while either. The present belongs to the Wolves, Spurs & Pistons.

Here's the bad thing...you guys have Webber, Peja, Bibby, Christie, Vlade, Jackson...and you still can't get the job done. Who is ever going to step up for the Kings? I think the Kings need to look towards rebuilding more than the Lakers do, if all of those "stars" can't win the West.

Kings won't make it till Webb either gets traded (never happen unfortunately) or retires.

And sorry but it's not the time for the Wolves either.
They're still wet behind the ears w/their first time out of the 1st round experience.

In all honesty people need to quit "predicting" who's going to win it all or who's the best team IN JULY!!!. God knows what's going to happen before May/June of 2005.

he had surgery on Sept 11th (I'll never forget that date) and didn't return to the court until, if I remember correctly, December, near X-mas time. I think it was around the same time as Bibby was supposedly going to come back after his foot fracture

By the way, Kobe can't carry a team that has an illiterate PG in Gary Payton (who can't play the triangle and refuses to learn), an old and fragile PF in Malone (who was actually the one who missed the most games), and a bench who for some reason lost their shooting ability halfway through the season. Sure, if the team is that bad, he needs Shaq. Not even McGrady, Iverson or Garnett could save a team like that...and with all the bickering and complaining from the two veterans, it makes matters worse. Kobe was incredible in the second half of the season...and he did great last year too (remember the 9 consecutive games with 40 or more points?) so if I were a Kings fan right now, I wouldn't start harassing a Laker team and an incredible player like Bryant until the Kings start showing signs of them being better.

you might want to use your thinking abilities. the year that kobe was supposed to be carrying the lakers when shaq was out till december was w/the original bunch as w/fox, horry and fisher.

and sorry [IMG] kings were better last year (at least until March 2d) and they are most certainly better this year

IMO the lakers will get their points with kobe, odom and butler, but not having a true center, especially in the west, is a killer. this looks very much like a eatern conference team, dominate the east, but lose a lot of games in the west.

Payton wants a buyout reportedly. Plus they dont have PJ anymore so they wont execute the triangle...especially since the big guy's not there.

Payton actually said he was staying because "he gave his word and was standing by that"
