Isn't it funny that the Laker fans are rarely self-criticlal? I saw a sig that had Vujacic( late second rounder as a phenom). If he was taken by the kings they would have said he was another euro bust. Man, I hate that. Laker fans out there: not everything purple and gold is great
Vujacic was actually a late 1st rounder, not a 2nd rounder. Get things right if you want to try to slam Laker fans. And, about your sig, or what I believe is your sig. Ok, Payton was only dominated for the first 2 games. After those two, in which Parker averaged 25 ppg, his average dropped to 12.5 over the next 4. So, he didn't dominate Payton at all. And, if I remember right, who won that series? Oh yea, that's right, the Lakers. So, don't diss Laker fans. Let them think what they want to. And, if you must comment on things, get it right. Don't give Vujacic less credit than he deserves by calling him a 2nd round pick when he was actually 27th overall. And, one last thing, about your sig...who was this undrafted player who shut down Kobe? Cause, last I knew, when someone averages 26.3 ppg while shooting 46.2% from the floor, that's not shutting people down. I just thought you'd like to know that.

How many Defensive minded players have bothered to name themselves "The Shaq Stopper" or the "Duncan Stopper"? None! Why, because they can be shut down! Kobe on the other hand has had a couple guys try to shut him down on a constant basis. And fail miserably, at that. Laker hater or not, I don't see how you can actually say Kobe and sucks in the same sentence!
Kings are better then the Lakers this year and last year, the Lakers wished they could have played the Kings in the Western Finals so they would have not been embarrased by the Detroit Pistons. Anyways Kobe Bryant a Laker, if he went to the Clippers he would have had a better team surround him (Brand and Maggette), but it always comes down to money and well he just got lots of it by staying with LA. The Clippers missed out big time, they traded away talented players in House and Ely (i think?) to clear up cap space, gave up on a chance of drafting with the number 2, but anyways they wanted Livingston and got him with the 4 pick. At least they can still match the offer for Richardson.
1) The Kings were far from better than the Lakers last year. There was only 1 team better, and they proved it by winning it all. (That was Detroit, in case you were still thinking it was the Kings). As far as next year goes, we shall see, but unless the Kings start making some major changes, I forsee another year of Lakers beating the Kings. 2) The Kobe deals didn't hurt the Clippers that much. Either way (keeping those guys or trading them) they will suffer the same fate they did last year (and the year before that, and the year before that...) They have a long running habit of trading off damn good players, with or without a pending Kobe deal. When the Clippers owner decides that winning is the top priority, that will all change. Until then, we just have to hope for a miracle.

There was never any doubt in my mind that Kobe was staying. He has everything he's ever wanted in LA now that there's no more Shaq or Phil. There was no reason for him to lead other teams into thinking they could get him. I guess he just likes to stroke his own ego. I'll admit that Kobe's a great player, but he has a lot of weaknesses. I don't really think he has what it takes to lead a team, not now at least. And the comment about Shaq and Duncan stoppers, there's no such thing because they can't be stopped. It's very possible to stop Kobe, remember Detroit?
I hate the way Kobe is, u could see what he was doing the whole time-waiting for shaq to leave so he could have the team all to himself. Where's the respect? without diesel, no championship rings. Now Maybe without Kobe they wouldnt have won in '01 and 02, but I definitely belive that it was shaq's team, and i Believe he deserved more respect

This is going nowhere honestly, the Laker fans root for the Lakers and diss the Kings fans. And Vice versa, whereas there's obvioulsy more Laker fans than Kings (as usual) The Lakers aren't a lottery bound team this year, but they won't be contending, and probably won't be forawhile. I'll say they will barely make the playoffs and get knocked out first round. That's where Kobe will realise he needs someone else to help him carry the team. I am quite positive Kobe is not capable of carrying a team where the focal point of defense is on Kobe, check the 2004 NBA Finals for instance. HE GOT SHUT DOWN.. BAD. Whereas Shaq couldn't be stopped as usual. 26 ppg 11 rebounds in the Finals. I'm not a Kings fan, but I'm just spittin the truth here. The Lakers can't contend, unless they make a blockbuster trade which brings them a decent big man, even then I doubt it because without Shaq there's not Lakers. Kobe or no Kobe. The Kings are underachievers, who... with a great lineup can't make it past the western conference finals, or even make it there sometimes. I admit though, that 1 year, the Kings had the Lakers but Webber blew his knee, that was very sad, it woulda been great to see the Kings win for once. The Kings are also maybe probably lottery bound in a couple years since their players are getting old, and the so called Locker Room dispute that divides the team in half. But in Lakerland, things are as good either y'all. Laker fans can't deny it either. Kobe hating Shaq and vice versa, GP complainging, Jackson and stuff blah blah. Soap opera I dont need to explain it all. Let's stop arguing and everyone make SA their favourite team because obviously their the best team. Bowen taking a paycut so they can sign Ginobli again, everything working fine, no arguments, a peaceful superstar... how much better can ya get. (No super huge immensely big egos) Whereas Kobe doesn't take a pay cut to get Shaq back b/c probably of personal reasons and he wants to prove himself blah blah... Yeah I'm done, don't read this if you don't want to, it's just my 2 cents I dont care if you like it or not.
If anyone knows how the triangle works, you'd know why Kobe had problems offensively in the Pistons/Lakers series. If not, here you go: we'll set up a situation, Lakers vs. Pistons...Payton brings down the ball and passes out to Shaq. Kobe, Malone and George are on the left side of the court. Payton cuts to the hoop and Shaq fakes a pass to him...he was defended too well to receive the ball (as usual). Okay...so now Shaq looks to Kobe. Malone and George set double-screens for Kobe to roll off of and cut to the basket, or to lose his man and take the pass for a mid-range jumper. Malone has a bad knee, and Rasheed Wallace is more athletic and able-bodied than Malone at this point, so he pushes through the screen. George sets his, but Tayshaun is quicker...so he rolls out of it. Kobe now has Prince, Wallace, and Big Ben all waiting for him to drive the paint...or fade back and take a shot. Tell me something...how are Malone and George helping when they can't set screens? How is Payton helping when he can't get open, or when he leads HIS OWN MAN over to where Kobe is? This year, there was no team...it was Kobe and Shaq ONLY. The two teammates that hate each other the most...Allen Iverson got along with Chris Ford better than Kobe and Shaq got along with each other. This is exactly why the Lakers lost to the Pistons. Also, when Kobe did receive the ball, he had to do something with it because Shaq cannot shoot free throws, yet every single time he got the ball...he was hacked. The team that beat the Lakers was the team that could rotate all of their centers into the game and use each one up to 3 or 4 fouls...Campbell, Okur, Wallace...it worked. Kobe had way too much pressure...who remembers how many times he received the ball with the shot clock down to three or two seconds? Come on guys...nobody had it as bad as Kobe did, and I'm not even talking about the trial and the fans he had to face at every away game. Give credit where credit is due.
Well, I donno if I can give credit... maybe if he did good I would tip my hat, give him a candy... but he didn't do good, just cause he couldn't break the defense and had a hard time doesn't mean we have to give credit. I think I'll give credit to the Pistons, they deserve it. P.S - You guys all talk about the Lakers being better than the Kings, and stuff and not going to the lottery. What if Kobe gets charged of rape, and gets sentenced to about 10 years... what then. p.s.s - and I know how the triangle works i don't need to be tutored.
hey im as big of a kobe fan as the next guy but with an udnersized line up thats not used to each other, i expect a Memphis Grizzlies type team they need a big man up there.....possibly dampier would be good but just someone to hold down ppl like JO or Wallace on a given day and not let em score 39... Im guessing theyll finished with the 5th or 6th seed and the West is always a tight race so it all depends on Kobe....they will eat most of the Eastern teams but will have trouble with the west teams cuz even though theyre fairly small and athletic (excpet payton), the other teams in the West are even more athetlic, nto to mention bigger and more expeirenced the West next year belongs to the Spurs or Wolves as for the Kings.....i hate it for thier fans becuz every year u guys get ur hopes up for this team and they dissappoint u every year with either choking or something else..... I think kobe will show ppl he can lead his own team, and caron butler and lamar odom are much better supporting casts then an ailing Malone with no jumper and a streaky, undersized guy in Slava Medevenko they will suffer without Shaq but Kobe has the determination to win and prove his critics wrong, i think that will override everything.....cuz once he gets out of the jail situation (im praying to god he will) then he will NOT take his career for granted.....and wil do everything it takes to win
