<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Considering the Shaq/Kobe ruckus, Hedo Turkoglu joined the Magic quietly. Needing cap space to sign Manu Ginobili, Bruce Bowen and Brent Barry, San Antonio withdrew its qualifying offer to Turkoglu.

He went from restricted to unrestricted free agent and signed a six-year deal with the Magic that will pay him just under $38 million over the length of the contract. Orlando now has a 24-year-old small forward to groom. Turkoglu has averaged 7.9 per game and 3.7 rebounds over four NBA seasons.

"It feels great to be in Orlando," said Turkoglu, who came to Las Vegas to meet with the Magic and sign his new deal. "This is a great opportunity for me, and it gives new life to my career."</div>

38 Million dollar = Turkoglu? LOL! He accepted because of the money, not how good he'll perform "in honor" of the crazy cash.

Turkoglu is a great player and he is definitely a plus to have on your team, he's not as overpaid as some but he is overpaid. Hedo is a good player and I believe he's even grown 2 inches he went from 6'8" to 6'10" last season.

There is no question that Hedo is a good player. But "great"? I dont think so, and definately not a player deserving a six year 38mil contract.

This is the first decision that I disagree with Weis on, and I hope he know what he's doing

    No it's not. He's nowhere near the kind of player T-Mac proved to be. When iaw him in the play-offs against LA, he was VILE. Bad move IMO. They should have gone after somebody like.... ....... ..... ...... ...... ....... ....... ...... ..... .... ...... ..... ..... .... ...... ..... .... .... ....Bob Sura!.....or.....NO
I can see why they signed him now!

pisandsid-Pay no attention to Enitials. He intentionally posts asinine remarks in here just to stir things up. Whatever the majority is he'll go around and say the opposite.

Example, if we all said Pulp Fiction was a great movie, he'll say it's the worst movie ever made.

Yea, I know, it's childish but you gotta understand, he is a child. [IMG]

    Heres the difference.

Tracy McGrady was in his early 20's when he signed with us. He's an athletic freak. He can score anywhere, anytime. He was playing behind Vince Carter, and we all knew he just needed to break out on his own.

Turkoglu is a few years old. (25 - Not old) He cannot do the things McGrady can do. He isn't an athletic freak. He's just a solid player who can do a little bit of everything.

The fact that you mentioned Turkoglu in the same breath as McGrady makes me laugh.

Turkoglu is a nice addition...he'll give u consistent scoring and nice shooting numbers, but thats it pretty much...but if that rumored J Rich/Robinson for Gooden/Mobley deal goes thru, Orlando will be lookin pretty nice pretty soon...
