Okay, VC is not going anywhere atleast under August 30th after his Carity Allstar Game when he will meet with Rob Babcock. And this is proof that if he is traded he isn't going to Dallas. Considering the mavs dont even need him with FInley, Howard,Daniels at the SG and Jamison and Walker at SF... <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">"The owner of the Dallas Mavericks poured cold water on the hot Vince Carter trade rumour yesterday. According to published reports, a three-way deal between the Raptors, Mavericks and New York Knicks is brewing that ultimately would send Carter to Texas. But there is one stumbling block. Mavericks owner Mark Cuban indicated yesterday that no such deal is brewing. "I have not spoken to the Raptors," Cuban told the Toronto Sun last night, via e-mail." I think Cuban just tells the press stuff like that to throw them off. He also said the Lakers never asked for Dirk, which I HIGHLY doubt.

I thought I would be the one who had to point that one out Walker a SF
It would be the biggest mistake for both teams on a personel standpoint, but one of the best business decisions Mark Cuban would ever make. From a business standpoint, the Mavs would clean up. Too bad Vince Carter is a hasbeen and will never be the player everyone thought he was gonna be. He's a slam-dunkin' hack who is so over-hyped simply because he won a slam dunk contest how many years ago...

I truly believe vince and Dirk can cause some havoc together. i guess mavs would have to give up maybe stack and walker or finley and walker for Vinsanity. I'd rather see stack and walker go I also believe Mark cuban will tell the press whatever they want to hear as long as it will keep them from maybe hindering his team from accomplishing aquisitions they are looking for. May be this year both of the cousins will get help. tracy and yao vince and Nowitzki <font size="4">Sweet</font>
The entire deal was based on the fact that NY would send players to Toronto, meaning Dallas would send players to NY. If I were Dallas I would probably give up Finley for Carter any day, and Im sure NY would love to have Finley, but I dont think Toronto would be getting a fair exchange in receiving Kurt Thomas, Shandon Anderson and Othella Harrington- thats similar to the trade the Grizzley franchise made back in like '98 for Steve Francis. The only difference between the two deals is that the Raptors arent as desparate- this 3 way deal wont happen, Raps will have to receive more
truly where are the Raps going as an orginization? yeh i agree the raps should recieve more through this three way but my only q?would be is where are the Raptors as an orginization trying to go at this moment. thats the only reason i don't truly know what they'll accept for Carter. Becuz i truly believe its unfair tfor a player to have to deal with a team having problem in getting a superstar of Carters caliber legitimate help. well the future holds are answers we'll just have to wait and see.
I was just watching Around the Horn and Woody PAige was just saying the Raps should throw Vince to the Knicks for Deke and Thomas (Kurt). This guy is such an idiot and if that ever happened it would make the Raps the new Hawks of the league.
VC on the mavs is just not working in my mind. That would mean that Dirk, Finley, Stack, VC, and Walker (all of whom are previous or potential allstars) would be on the same team. That would be like taking the second string dream team members and expecting them to be able to play together and share the ball. The only reason that the Mavs succeed right now is because their only truly greedy player is Walker. Also, now that they dont have Nash distributing the ball and keeping everyone happy with touches, those players would never get along.
When are the Mavs going to smarten up and realize that they need some defense, not more offense. Carter might be an above average defender, but it's obvious that his strength is on the other side of the ball. They shouldn't even be thinking about this, but what's new? Every year they overload the team with offensive players and end up losing to a team that can actually play defense in the playoffs.
VC aint going anywhere this season. He puts too many people in TORONTO's seats to just let him up and go
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting TrueCavsFan23:</div><div class="quote_post">he also said it on rome is burning the other day when he was on.</div> who said what? vince? what did he say? elaborate, no one on this site is psychic.
That's great. Vince isn't going to any of the other 28 teams either, here's the proof: Unless Vince has a valid reason to leave unlike the organization crap, then he shouldn't be a Raptor for life.
mark cuban said he hasnt even talked to the raptors about a 3 way deal on rome is burning, does that e-l-a-b-o-r-a-t-e enough for u.
