I dont know what Mullin is thinking with signing Fisher. If we are working on trading one of our PGs, what have you heard? What would you offer? Would you want Damp, Dunleavy, or Jrich also?

Damp's contract is reasonable. I dont want to throw in Murphy. I will give you Clif and Speedy. I dont want Marshall, been there, done that. I dont know who Milt is. I dont know much about Moiso. Did he play for UCLA?

yes moiso played for ucla and was a lottery pick. he's got a lot of potential but a perpetual underachiever at this point. palacio is good backup or third string point guard. i want murphy cause i want a big team and i would make him a backup five behind dampier and use c.robb as a mentor for bosh. marshall is a lot better now, he's matured and has the capabilities to give u 30 points on any given night. so i'm giving u two players in vince and donyell that are proven big time scorers, dampier is a competent scorer and thats all from the golden state side in terms of scoring. however, the current free agent crop proved there is a premium on quality bigs and gm's are willing to overpay for it so i think from the raptor perspective we need to consolidate our frontcourt so hence Murphy and c.robb. u guys get instant credibility with vince's addition and with a backcourt of nick van exel, j.rich and vince u guys can run people out of the gym particularly with coach montogemery's style

Milt and Moiso, like any team would want them, maybe Moisio but not Milt, if we did a deal with GS involving Carter we'd need to get a SG/SF back, I'd like to get Pietrus if any deal like that happened.
Us getting Troy Murphy and Cliff gives us 2 more PF's to add to Bosh, and Murphy is too skilled to be made a backup, and he's not a center.

Yall need forwards and the Rockets have a glut of em...Juwan Howard/Mo Taylor/Clarence Weatherspoon...maybe a first-rd pick plus Mo Taylor for Van Exel? I really dont wanna get rid of Howard, he'd be the perfect third scorer to Yao and McGrady...and I really dont want Van Exel either, but its not like we have any other choice...

Do they need forwards?
They have Troy Murphy and Cliff Robinson, it's not a need, the Warriors really don't need that much (unless it's a star I'm guessing), probably something like a backup SF since Cardinal is gone. Pietrus can backup at SF too in addition to SG, or PG (defensively) while Dunelavy plays point forward and PG offensively.

i love how u use declarative language, i guess thats the perks of getting the distinction of being on justbball?s first team (excuse my sarcasm).

milt is a good backend of the roster addition, and i wouldn't give up on moiso easily. here's my idea with murphy and c.robb using the experimental notion of playing cb4 at the three

starters

dampier ©
murphy(pf)
cb4 (sf)
jalen (sg)
altson (pg)

murphy's natural position is pf but he's a 6 '11 and appears to a bad enough dude to get some controlled minutes at the center spot. and i would play araujo a few minutes of course varying on the competition, i'm guessing he would play more against miami. dampier doesn't have the durability in my opinion to play arduous minutes so i would monitor his minutes closely and play him around 30-33 minutes a game. and pietrus is too much of a talent for them to give him up especially considering that j.rich might leave them in free agency next summer and he?s the contingency plan.

You know what? I did not even see Vince Carters name in there. I would take that deal now. I liked Marshall when he played here. He was just an symbol of the whole Chris Webber debocle. I would make that trade though.

Have you thought thi through, we'll be giving them Vince, they already have Mike Dunleavy at the 3, so even if J-Rich is leaving it doesn't matter because they'll have Vince at the 2 and Mike Jr at the 3 [IMG]
If we're going to give up Vince why not get a SG/SF back, you super idea is to have Bosh starting at the 3?
He's not even shown he could play there consitently in summer league and he's going to be playing a whole NBA season at the three, oh before you say something, he won't be playing the full season right, it will depend on matchups, sometimes he will and sometimes someone else will and we'll have Bosh at the 4 and Murphy on the bench.
Yea he's capable of hiting outisde shots, but Bosh cannot handle the ball well enough and isn't quick enough, mean I complain about Jared Jefferies inability to play the 3 dues to his handles, and his are better than Bosh's.

If we were giving them Vince they'd definately be willing to part with Pietrus.

Pietrus, Dampier (S&T) Claxton and someone else a bit good for Vince, Donyell and Mosio, maybe add Milt too to replace Claxton [IMG]

ask the warriors fans if u want but they were playing dunleavy at the point on lots of occasions. anyways, i think dunleavy would be better to come off the bench with vince starting at the three for them.

in the raptor forum i compared bosh's plausible move part time move to the three with kg playing the three when joe smith was on the team. i think the marker of great player is versatility and an innate ability to adapt to new challenges, i think bosh posses those traits. please don't compare jefferies to bosh, bosh is smarter, slightly quicker and has much better range on his shot. i think bosh isn't prepared to play in the post, doesn't have a good back to the basket game yet. so this move gives him time to develop those abilities while expanding other parts of his perimeter game in the meanwhile. I would move him back permanently to the 4 in is third or fourth year which should have been his rookie year letting his body develop.

pietrus is a fascinating player, he lookled surprisingly adequate for a foreign player who was supposed to be raw athleticism. and thats why i think he's not going to be let go so easily especially with j.rich's uncertain status with the warriors next summer.

Did Toronto already sign Araujo? If not I'd take Carter and the rights to Araujo for Claxston, Damp, and either Richardson or Pietrus (I'd prefer to give up Richardson). I suppose I'd even do a Carter for Damp, Claxston, and Pietrus/Richardson deal.

Here's a question: would the fact that Pietrus is French make him more popular in Toronto?

I dunno, it seems fair to me, but I've been accused of coming up with horrible trades before. By the way (just so I can cover my ***), by suggesting this trade, I am in no way insinuating that the Raptors must make this trade or they'll never win an NBA championship. I know that sounds strange, but some Pacer fans were accusing me of it today and I'd just like to nip that discussion in the bud.

carter and araujo for damp, j.rich and speedy is a great deal for the raps. araujo is signed btw. don't underestimate your team, u guys were very competitive in the west in spite of a disgruntled nick van exel.

I don't need to ask, I know already, he had some big scoring games there too because he was playing against smaller defenders, yes I know, but he's horrible defensively against PG's, he's a very capable Point Forward, but he only played point because of team injuries, Claxton and Vab Exel were both down.
The might have just signed Fisher too look cool, I heard Dunleavy is liked a lot in GS, I don't think he'll be on the bench.

Yes yes yes, I read it, good idea, its good for him to be versatile, but to just stick him at SF out of nowhere isn't good, it's a good matchup maker, and something you can do when you want to go big in a game, but definately not something you'll do for full games. Murphy will be playing at least 33 minutes, their's not too many minutes at PF for Bosh, but Murphy has an outside game too, he's fairly capable of playing the 3, just not good at it.

Yea we already signed him, I'd still rather have Pietrus, I love his defense, and his ability to do about everything on the floor, and he can guard anywhere from the 1 to the 3.
J-Rich is good and all, but he's got not too good handles for a SG, and his defense is bad, he doesn't look to me as near the versatile player Pietrus could become, and already is.

yeah, Mullin has about the same size brain as Danny Ainge. Why, the hell would you want D. Fisher when you got 2 outstanding PG's in , Van Exel and Claxton?

well he gave out two outrageous contracts to foyle and fisher. before phil jackson came to town fisher was labelled a "bust" and was always on the trade block.

lol why not do this

Warriors sign Dampier and trade

Damp
Fisher
Jrich

FOR

Artest and bender?

Lineups

Speedy
Pietrus
Artest
Bender
Adonal Foyle

Then maybe spin a trade with dallas to get devin harris [IMG]

Warriors get Defense + Athelectism

Indiana gets the scoring SG enabling jackson to play the 3 and get The big center and and veteran pg in fisher

bender can't play the four, he's too lanky and i doubt whether he will last in the league after his current contract expires. artest is a defensive stopper but his shot selection makes u want to scream sometimes if your a pacers fan. and i don't see how the warriors get more athletic by letting damp and j.rich go. anyways they can't trade fisher until december 1, plus i doubt the pacers will accept fisher's inflated contract.
