<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Philla Fan 22:</div><div class="quote_post">Sammy D canadian, well you must have amnesia or you have never watched the Sixers play last season,he is hatian man.Even though Snow might be going down in his career he is still a good defender and a solid assist man and is a good PG next to AI,also I still like Aaron Mckie I remeber when AI was hurt Mckie wouls step up along with Snow plus Mcie was top 5 in 3 point fg% I believe. .</div> sammy ?canadian? D is a naturalized canadian just like thousands of canadians. thankfully canada isn't the xenophobic country like the states, he is haitian and there are thousands of haitians living in francophone quebec. apparently from what I heard sammy ?canadian? D wants to represent canada internationally.

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting og15:</div><div class="quote_post">? I know their players aren't exactly experienced, but they have Atkins, Banks Delonte West, and Jiri Welsch is capable of playing the 1,2,3, he was playing PG in Dallas, that looks like some depth to me? </div> I have heard Atkins will be traded, and I have also heard he might be traded for Eric Williams. So if they do that then they have one natrual PG,and then just players that are capable of playing PG,so to me they lack experience and depth a lot of the times teams who dont have an experienced PG tend to struggle.
^^ Yea I hear you about the experienced PG think, if Atkins goes it will hurt them because Banks can't run an NBA team now, and Delonte West definately can't.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Franchise:</div><div class="quote_post">Lack of logic? Most of the posts in here are fairly factual, at least we try to give both sides of the argument, as some people have not picked the Raptors to win the Atlantic such as myself and og15. We're only giving people information that doesn't stand out, so you can understand our point of view better.</div>What I'm talking about is all the speculating that goes on that are not facts at all, just attempts to dismiss one's arguements. It is obviously illogical to try to use injuries, bad coaching, etc. as an excuse. It is something that I cannot argue. I wasn't making an attack on anybody here, just expressing that I would no longer argue against you all. It was much more of a concession than anything else. I agree that most people are fairly factual, but I think that some bend these facts to speculate that such and such would have happened, or this guy did this in this game, so if he played in that game then they would have won. But, as for presenting both sides of an arguement, I don't really agree with that if you are concerning everyone. Some people have very biased opinions, which is fine with me, just pointless to argue against. I apologize for any sort of misunderstanding. As for the rumored Atkins/EWill trade, I don't know why the C's would do such a thing. I hope the trade doesn't go down. I concur that Banks isn't ready to run an NBA team, but I think that he will be able to at the end of the season. I would rather see them shop Atkins after Banks has proved he is capable of starting.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting rapsfan15:</div><div class="quote_post">Yeaa, Vince should definitely take that into consideration, Raps have a good opportunity here- if Vince stays. I also have a funny feeling about Chris Bosh, I think he might just blow up next season.</div> CB4 seems to have put on some weight in the off season and he seems hungry to win ...if VC could target his toughness he's showing in these interviews to playing ball on the court, the Raps could win the Atlantic we've got talent
I think the Raptors have the talenent to win the Atlantic, but then every single team in our divisoion is very unpredictable, and there are still a good (about) 2 Months left in the off season. Looking at evertyhing now though, I think we have the potential too. I say we get a 2nd or 3rd seed.
Raptors arent winning *jack* Sure you can dream, i mean anybody can dream, but then all of a sudden reality kicks in and depending on what you were expecting the results can be either devestating or expected. As it is with the raptors year in and year out, every year my friends always tell me that the raptors are gonna win this yr or make the playoffs, sure they mite make the playoffs but that doesnt mean anything? any team can make the playoffs, i mean memphis made the playoffs this yr, a team that only won around 19 games last season, and look what happened? swept by san antonio in the first round, they didnt even stand a chance. Ok enough about being critical, what do the raptors need? they need a starting estabilished big man who is an offensive threat and can rebound so CB#4 doesnt have to do everything himself and has some help. Also, now that they've got the point guard position secured, they need to add depth do their bench, get rid of moiso and all the other no name ppl and sign someone actually gud to come off the bench!

I mean look at your Fav. Team. It says "Undecided until the season starts" Another thing, I believe the Raptors brass and most of us Raptors fans here know that we need a centre who can start. However, we wouldn't be able to get one unless we trade someone because we only got $1 million or so left in cap room. You obviously haven't watched too many Raptors games to be "smart" enough to say that CB4 had to do everything last season - I understand your point that Bosh was just thrown in there at the centre position with barely 220 pounds on him, but get the fact straight, Donyell Marshall was a major help for Bosh. Even if Marshall is undersized and is not really a banger he crashed boards when Bosh wasn't able to. As far as the Raptors' bench is concerned, I don't think we'll have to do any major tweaks to it, and that's even if Morris Peterson goes to the Hornets. Here's last season's bench: -Morris Peterson -Dion Glover -Michael Curry -Rod Strickland -Corie Blount -Robert Archibald -Milt Palacio -Jerome Moiso -Lamond Murray And here's this season's projected bench: -Donyell Marshall -Morris Peterson (?) -Alvin Williams -Lamond Murray -Matt Bonner -Pope Sow -Jerome Moiso -Milt Palacio Donyell Marshall and Alvin Williams were both starters this past season, so that is a huge upgrade from what we had. I hope we could keep Peterson, as that will make a deeper bench, but even if we don't keep Peterson, it's obvious that the bench is as good as any other team in the league, well, maybe with an exception of the Grizzlies.
I know this is an old thread but I read a quote on Yahoo and it fits this thread. this quote was on a Yahoo article. The article just evaluated some teams for next season. Here is the quote: "Meanwhile, the Nets, no longer the top team in the East, are behind the Knicks and the 76ers in their division. They have been unable to rebound and defend the middle with Martin gone, and with an unhappy Kidd running the team, heir once-feared fast break has stalled." Does this mean that the raptors, according to the article, is 4th in their division, perhaps even last? Your opinions... Here is the link http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news;_ylc=X3oD...v=tsn&type=lgns
