<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Philadelphia 76ers President and General Manager Billy King announced today that the Sixers have signed Brian Skinner. Per team policy, terms of the contract are not disclosed.

Skinner, 6-foot-9, 265 pounds, makes his return to the 76ers after posting career highs in points (10.5), rebounds (7.3) and minutes (28.2) for Milwaukee last season. Skinner played in 56 games for the Bucks in 2003-04 and tallied a team second-best 11 double-doubles. Skinner was sidelined for 25 games (11/4-12/26) with a left knee injury that included an arthroscopic procedure that was performed on Nov. 6, 2003. </div>

    Terms Of The Deal

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The first 2 years of the deal, according to multiple sources, are fully guaranteed at $4.5 million and $4.95 million. The third year is worth a maximum of $5.4 million, but is only partially guaranteed and includes conditions for the balance.

The fourth year, 2007-08, is a team option for $5.85 million. The original agreement included a slightly lower starting salary and was spread over 5 years, with a partial guarantee in the fifth year.

The adjusted deal leaves the Sixers with $400,000 remaining of their $4.9 million average salary exception.

King, who said Wednesday that earlier reports about Skinner's contract had been incorrect, declined to comment.</div>

That's a huge jump from 1.5 million with the Bucks last season to 4.5 million with us this year. He was also going to receive 1.6 million in Milwaukee if he hadn't left. Though, he will be playing a much bigger role here, I think.

skinner is one of the most underrated players in the league, he's a little injury prone though.

I think Skinner got overpayed, but then again this offseason who isnt? Skinner is really underrated he's a good rebounder, and a decent shot blocker but $4.5 mil to a guy off the bench? Sammy D and Kenny Thomas are going to start ahead of him right?

Do you all know how hard it is to find decent big men, that will agree to the MLE? It is a very hard process, and I'm thinking Skinner was a decent pick.
