Do you guys think he can take the starting position away from Hughes by the allstar break, I think he can...he was the Orlando MVP of the summer league I believe, he has been working on his game all off season..as for Hughes I think he is great and is great trade bait because his contract isnt too big and he gets a lot done, I think we can package him with maybe Dixon or Jeffries and get a respectable SF out of them because I believe Jamison will be at teh 4.

I think Larry Hughes is too young, too experienced, but more importantly...too good to give up with another young player for a SF. Jarvis lacks the ability to create his own shot. When he tries, he gets into offensive foul trouble. Larry Hughes can create his own shot. Hughes plays decent defense (especially on the fast break)...and we all know the leaps and bounds his shooting has come along this past year. Jarvis needs to stick to SF.

Most likely Jarvis and hughes will begin the season starting ... I think the starting lineup may look like this ...

    PG - Arenas
    SG - Hughes
    SF - Hayes
    PF - Jamison
    C - Brown

Jarvis is not a SF he struggles everytime he plays there...he gets dominated by bigger SF's we need to make him a 2 guard, that will be our weakest position...the SF if he plays it...which I htink he will...and it could cost us some games...lets hope he bulked up a little..

That's what I was saying, I mean if we don't have the lineup with Kwame at center and he's coming off the bench, he can start to challenge Hughes for the spot, he's a better defender, and his shot is pretty good, he's not a super athlete, but he's a good one, and I can really see him taking it.
I don't think Hughes would be good on the bench though, if we could get someone like Shane Battier on our bench it would be good.

Hughes played well for washington last season, and is clearly a better player than Hayes...while Hayes shows great potential as an offensive force, he still does not have Hughes' versatility, scoring or passing skills that warrants a starting spot...

Good things to report about Jarvis at the Summer camp in Orlando:

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post"> Jarvis Hayes: The best player on the court in Orlando. What a shooter this kid is going to be, he?s got such a sweet stroke. Takes him about a quarter of a second to set his feet and get his shot off, can do it moving in all directions and especially while fading away. Very athletic too, he?ll take you right to the hoop and finish strong if you get too close. If the Wizards let him play his natural position at the two he should really start to come into his own his year. I?ve always been super high on this kid since his SEC days; he?s developing into a fine player now. </div>
