<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">After losing Kobe Bryant to the Lakers, the Clippers are now faced with whether to match the Suns' six-year, $45 million offer to restricted free-agent shooting guard Quentin Richardson. The deal could be worth $48 to $50 million with incentives. "We've had conversations with Quentin and his agent, and we still have [13] days left," general manager Elgin Baylor told the Orange County Register.</div> <div align="center">Link</div> As expected... Since the Clippers lost in the Kobe sweepstakes, they're now looking to re-sign Richardson. But with the new acquisition of Steve Nash, the Suns seem to have a promising future, and I think Q-Rich may want to be apart of that. So I doubt he will decided to re-sign with the Clippers.
From what I understand: Isn't Richardson a restricted free agent this summer? Since the Clips lost out on Kobe the only way I see them spending their money this season is by matching QRich's contract. Even if he doesn't want to come back it will happen. Just look at Jason Terry and Atlanta last year.
Yeah, if the Clippers throw that much money at Q, the minute that he steps back into the Clipper locker room, all will be forgotten.

I can't see a promising future for Q at the Suns. I mean they already have an upcoming star in the form of Joe Johnson at 2 guard and Marion at SF so I don't see where Q fits in. Would the Suns spend that much money on a benchmen??? I would rather come back to the Clips and start. Plus theres the money!
Well, the Suns would benefit hugely. All they would have to do is go to smallball, with the starting lineup of PG - Steve Nash SG - Joe Johnson SF - Quentin Richardson PF - Shawn Marion C - Amare Stoudamire Now that would be a team to contend with!
