By that reasoning, there are hundreds of players who are "Bums" by your standards, who ended up having very respectable and even great NBA careers.
Hmm, this conversation turned stupid, no one can claim any clear winner already, but for people to just say all these teams (except New Jersey) didn't improve is stupid. Boston - Raef Lafrentz basically didn't play the whole year, so him playing this year means they improved, and they have a lot of young guys. I think Perkins could enter the bottom of the rotation this year, and though Brandon Hunter was a bad loss for nothing, AI Jefferson looks able to maybe slightly contribute earlier than expected. I won't put much hope on Tony Allen and Delonte West yet though. One thing is that they have Mark Blount and Raef, I wouldn't call it the best combo of PF-C in the Atlantic because New York's Dampier and Kurt Thomas is likely better, but it's still a good one. New York- Getting Dampier and probably Jamal Crawford, I'd say they had the best depth at the 2 and 3 if they got Crawford because Allan Houston, Tim Thomas, Penny Hardaway, and Jamal Crawford is pretty good, and even DerMarr Johnson has looked decent. Also we have to remember Sweetney, if anyone watched he was very good off the bench and when getting minutes he did good, he's like a mediocre man's Elton Brand, but not as good offensively, and not the same blocker, but is a beast on the boards. Toronto - We got a center which is where we were abused last year, and something that the starter of this thread seemed to ignore is that Jalen Rose had a broken hand the whole season, think of how that affects a players game. The Celtics beat the Raptors by 3 games, and we went 0-9 without Carter, and 0-6 when Carter went down due to Bowen in a game which we were winning, and had a backcourt of Milt-Alvin, Milt-Glover, and Milt- Roger Mason JR. The Raptors also got a PG, Rafer is no elite player, but not having a PG on your team can be really detrimental. Philadelphia - How could they not improve? How many games did Glenn Robinson and Iverson play last year? Is Samuel Dalmbert going to suddenly get worse? Hasn't anyone seen Willie Green and John Salmons, they look like pretty good rotation guys, and McKie is always good as a shooter. Also they got Iguodala who won't start but will probably get minutes and is a good addiiton off the bench, he can do everything, and is a good defender. Even with all that, the Sixers got Brian Skinner who averaged 10.5, 7.3 and 1.09 blocks in 28 minutes at C, while he's a natural PF. To say the Sixers or any of these teams have stayed Stagnant is just pure ignorance.

Well it's not a given that Dampier will be heading to NY. If he does, then the Knicks might have to give up Dampier in that deal. A Sweetney and Thomas frontcourt will be pretty sweet, no pun intended.

The only thing that offends me is that you think you can come into a message board environment and tell others that thier posts are dumb and then have the audacity to say things like "because it's my opinion" as justification for your own comments. As if we're supposed to give it due weight because "it's your opinion", when you haven't bothered to provide any justification or reasoning to back your "opinions" and to this point in the thread, you still haven't on several topic comments, which YOU brought up originally. The fact that you care about post count is laughable. There's a reason that peoples post count doesn't show up under thier username: Because this site requires that participants value QUALITY not QUANTITY. It requires that posters provide INTELLIGENT CONVERSATION, something to this point you've proven to be whoafully inept at. Since the beginning I've told the Administration that while I mean no disrespect, I could care less whether I recieve any accolades for my posts. They know that and yet I still end up on the awards list. Wonder why that is? Where did I say that, I said Shaun Livingston's legacy, not the Clippers dynasty, I seriously first thought you were talking to someone else, but couldn't find anyone else with something similar in their sig. I don't know what you are angry about really, I was just sumarising that every team has improved. Odd, very odd indeed.

He wasn't expected to contribute, nor was he ever given an opportunity. He may end up being a bust, but it is WAY too early to even speak on that, whether it is "in your opinion" or not. Melo went to Syracuse buddy. But I will give you a reason why the Celtics probally won't win the Atlantic,Atkins is probally going to get dealt and I have been hearing for Eric Williams,so that leaves you with one pure PG Marcus Banks,who is not expierenced enough to run point,teams who dont have expierence at PG seem to struggle.
