That is very annoying for someone to ask not to be named and say something like that. For all you know its probably Isiah Thomas and his rag tag team trying to get anything he can. I remember ppl saying how good the Knicks were going to be when Isiah Thomas came in, and Toronto would be sorry they dropped Lenny Wilkens. Later on, the only good thing Dave Feschuk ever said was that the Knicks will not be half as good as everyone thinks cuz Isiah Thomas screws everything up, and they were just in their new honeymoon stage. Well it sure looks like it. If the source doesnt want to be named, it probably means he might be lying and doesnt want anyone to know he said a lie, but then it could mean that Carter told him and told him to keep a secret, which would then already show that he baited Carter out. Either way, I think its false. This stupid anonymous rumour person just wants Carter out, probably on his own team or something. Annoying!
I don't know why Vince would think he can get the same decision making power on another team. If he went to the Knicks he would have no say in anything...Do you think Mark Cuban would care what Vince's mother thinks???The media would eat him alive if he played anywhere other than Canada.

Plus the way Babcock has been speaking to the media it sounds that these sources are either making it up, or Babcock just doesn't want to trade Vince.
It's funny that this is coming from an unnamed source. It's also even funnier that the unnamed source wants Vince to go to the biggest market in the world New York. Can this person be in some way tied to Vince's payroll? It seems like it.
what intrigued me about the article is that at the end they mentioned the additions to vince's club and his wife looking for employment in t.o which suggests the carter's have a long term commitment to the city. anyways, most of u know i detest carter but i do think the estrangement in superstar-franchise relations hopefully gives mlse the impetus to hand mr. peddie the pink slip. peddie is pompous jerk living in his delusional corporate world where his sleaze is tolerated. yeah sports is a business but its idiosyncratic feature is that its under so much public scrutiny unlike most private businesses.
