<div class="quote_poster">Quoting RiverspoonJones:</div><div class="quote_post">That's fine... but there's a difference between saying "I really, really, really, really want Vince Carter" and making a reasonable deal, which there isn't. If you can suggest one, I'm open-minded, I'll take it on board... but I just don't think the Knicks have anything of value other than Stephon Marbury.</div> I respect your opinion. There really isn't much to offer. The Knicks are betting that Toronto is desperate to get Vince off their hands.
I heard Antoine Walkers name being thrown into the mix... Thursday's Fort Worth Star-Telegram reported that the Raptors were talking to the Dallas Mavericks and that the Knicks or the Golden State Warriors also could be involved. According to the report, the Mavericks were looking to send Antoine Walker to New York and the Knicks would send a combination of players to the Raptors, with Shandon Anderson, Dikembe Mutombo and Kurt Thomas being mentioned. Golden State also was mentioned as a possible participant, with Erick Dampier as the main component. http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=1839883 ... lets see what Isiah can do...
If Zeke can bring Vince Carter and Antoine Walker to New York without given Stephon Marbury he will be made Times Man of the Year, nay, Times Man of the Millenium. ...but it won't happen
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Knicks Analyst:</div><div class="quote_post">I read about a possible sign and trade in the trade of Jason Terry and some bench players.</div> ....and Toronto would do this why? I don't get why the media, and people also just don't understand that Toronto isn't trading Carter for an almost All-Star and some bench players, or anyone like Antoine Walker, Jerry Stackhouse, and especially not any of those Knicks players that aren't Marbury.
I have a feeling the Knicks will acquire Jamal Crawford, then ship him to Toronto for Vicanity. I also would think, Tim Thomas may be included in such a deal. My gut says Zeke is trying to do what he can to get Vincanity here.
wow again with this (i havent been here in a while) this was written by who? o yea a unnamed source which means nothing!!!!!
This deal is not going to happen. Every time the knicks want a good player either they can't afford his salary or they have no players to give.
If the money made sense,(which it don't), and i couldn't get starbury, I'd take a younger, non washed up Allan Houston, with Tim Thomas, and a younger super health Kurt Thomas
We definately wouldn't want Tim Thomas over here...he's one of the most overpaid players in the league. Unless the Knicks are willing to trade Marbury, my feeling is that the trade ain't gonna happen. Giving the Knicks another star in VC teamed with Starbury will make them too strong. Trading someone is one thing but you don't want to make a conference rival into a team you won't be able to beat.
vince is a great player but listen hes not bulit for a season he always gets hurt and thats the last thing the knicks need is more injurys. the knicks should trun away from carter
