Walker wants to play in Philly?

Whaaa?? Unless I read this wrong, that's what it sounds like:

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">My only questions are whether Thomas is slick enough to dump Moochie Norris' $3.8M and $4.2M salary on the dock of the bay area? And can Kurt Thomas/Frank Williams be kept out of the equation to use as part payment to obtain Antoine Walker from the Mavericks? As mentioned last Sunday, as long as the deal is reasonable, owner Mark Cuban is willing to satisfy his incompatible (with Dirk Nowitzki) forward's feverish desire to play for the Knicks or the Sixers. </div>

    Full Story.

The whole article is mostly about that Knicks but that line caught my eye.

That would be cool but what would we give them. We could allways send Snow an Robinson but they will want more for sure. An I don't want to give up Iverson to get Dirk. But it would be something to see Iverson Dirk an Iggy on the court together. It would prolly cost us our young C also which a lot of people might not like.

I don't think it means that Dirk wants to play with Philly, I think that the article was referring to Antoine Walker. Besides, is AI even worth Dirk?

It's not dirk, they're saying that Cuban would try and satisfy Walker's want to play in one of those places, mainly because he doesn't work well with Dirk.

Does Walker for Dalembert make sense?

Walker is a good fit for the offense they are running, and Dallas could really use
a player like Dalembert. My guess is the Mavs would have to take on some
contracts to make the deal work.

    Anyone heard of this?

The advantage to Philly would be to dump about $12M worth of bad contracts
on the Mavs. Not sure what the owner's financial situation is. Dalembert would
have to be thrown in to get the Mavs to accept contracts like Buckners, etc.

I hope the Mavs don't make the trade for the Big Dog though.

I would like to see walker with the sixers. Though if that means giving up dalembert **** it it aint worth it. I would like to see a trade involving the big dog since he didnt do anything last year for the team, but be an injury partner for AI. They need someone who has proven they can stay healthy all season or most of it to compliment AI.

Dirk to Philly is way too far fetched, but I could see Walker coming in.
