<div class="quote_poster">Quoting cula:</div><div class="quote_post">well it seems your management thinks you most certainly do, offering the mde to divac. as for your previous post you might like to remember he has already played 7 years for the lakers.</div> I already know he played seven seasons with the Lakers. But didn't he play for the hated Sacramento Queens for six other seasons?? Would that change how I feel about this guy? Heck no. It's a rivalry standpoint. How could any diehard fan support a player who has played for our archrivals and expect us to love him again?? It doesn't work that way. All I have to say on this guy is he better come out during the regular season from start to finish and play with energy, intensity, heart, and most importantly the determination to win. No laziness whatsoever. If he can do that besides looking like a pathetic 60 year old man, I promise you....I'd slowly support and appreciate him as a Laker.
YOU must remember that Divac came from the Lakers. So, sac actually took him from us first. He wants to retire a Laker and it seems Malone is askin that the Lakers pursue him. I have never been too fond of him, but I wouldnt mind anyone over 6'10 being added to our front court at this point. Vlade is an excellent passer, so he might do some good for the young run and gun laker team.
He is 7'1, and cant even rebound. All vlade is good for these days is passing and flopping. Plus he's about 80 years old. Also, werent we trying to get younger and more athletic this offseason??? Vlade is the exact opposite of that. We could of used that $4 million to bring in someone else better

If the mans smart he'll stay in Detroit. Plus, we cant afford him. Swift? Ha. He wont come for $4Million Oberto? at 6'10 you might as well recruit another Forward. Ostertag? hahahahaha. Now he's 80. Divac may be our only option at this point. And he is 36 years old and a smart ballplayer. As I mentioned, any big man bigger than 6'10 will do at this point. The Lakers cant expect to do it all in one year. And I would love Divac to have a big game on the queens home floor....
^^ his little stint at Charlotte doesnt count.......LOL. His real contributions to any team was at L.A. and SacTown. And yeah, Sac didnt really take Divac fromt the Lakers(i'll take that back), the Lakers needed to free up room for Kobe and Shaq and the team went on to win 3 championships...

Oh the irony of the signing of Divac. I have grown accustomed to hearing Lakers fans bitch about how much they hate him and now he is a Laker, once again. The guy is washed up and couldn't even play many minutes on the Kings. Is he your starting center?
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting deception:</div><div class="quote_post">i love vlade and i think he's going to be a great addition to the lakers but who really thinks he's 36?</div> Who believed Terry Porter was 20 something when he was 20 something. He's just one of those guys that always looked old but now plays old. Taking one of my coaches sayings, the man got a vert of a Visa card. Ahh, dag Vlade. I really thought the Lakers could get Keon Clark at least.

I don't know about you but I don't really care if they were rivals on the other team. Just as long as they can deliver on the Lakers (which I'm not sure Vlade can do but he might). I would wait to see if Chris Mihm wants to be a Laker before signing Vlade. Hell, if they got both, then Vlade would be a better backup center than the Lakers' have had in years!

On that first nationally televised game, I acted the same way towards Malone as I plan to do with Vlade Divac. He has to show me something before he gets my 100% support and appreciation, and since Vlade was a Queen for six seasons after leaving LA, it'll make it 10 times tougher. Sorry, but I'm sure you can see the bitterness I have with that other franchise.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Emo:</div><div class="quote_post">Good luck moving that 110 mil dollar man of an even bigger scrap in Chris Webber. Because as long as that man resides in Sachokemento and plays in a Queen uniform, he suffers, the town suffers, and the entire franchise of that horrible organization suffers. But hey, thank the Maloofs for that. Vlade will fit in well with the new rebuilt lakers. He is a great passer there for will be great with odam and butler on the break along with kobe. They will be able to run more fast breaks now and return to the showtime offense since they dont have to wait for shaq to get up court any more like they use to. Also they get more depth when they face the kings do to vlade being familiar with there players and coaching staffs plays. He will offer them more cut plays and if malone stays they will have to very good passing big men in the offense. Then divac will allow them to run more cuts at the basket since he has a wider shot range than shaq does and wont be in the lane as much. Buss has made a great move to get what he wanted to get back to which is the show time offense. Not the triangle offense.
Considering the fact that he is old and now there really is no competetion at center so weather he is a Laker or not he will not guard anyone with real talent. Can I dare to say but with Shaq on the east the East suddenly have better centers then the west by far (not considering Duncan as center). The two best centers are on the east. Other then there being Yao on the west look at the centers who will now have to be guarded by Vlade. Rasho, the kandi man, brad miller, and the rest are straight garbage so its not like the reason they wont win is cause vlade cant guard someone it would be collective effort of the other team containing kobe stoping butler odom and gp and others on the lakers bench.
Yes, let's just all put our hands together for Vlade Divac returning to LakerLand? Have my freakin' eyes deceived me??
