I wouldn't rule out Bender someday making the all-star team at all, once he gets consistent minutes (which I think he will get this season), his numbers will improve dramatically. This kid is the real deal.

This kid is the real deal.</div> I wouldn't bear much hope in him, although I wouldn't be surprised if he does turn into something big someday. Bender has had 5 years of experience within the league, and only in the last two seasons had he started getting quality minutes. He did good with the time he got, but there is no space for him to start on the Pacers roster. He, at 7-0, is too thin to play power forward and center. Although he is quick and has a good outside shot, he lacks the rebounding skills to be a KG clone. Until he bulks up and gets some solid low-post game, I will not be a fan of Jonathon Bender.
Bender isn't a PF/C, he's a SF/SG, the only problem for him is his defense, everything else is pretty good, he came into the league at 6'9 though, and gre to 7'0, the growth sometimes will halt some things. He can still be very good as a SF, not PF/C, it's not his position.
