I just want to see what you all think will be the next move for the 76ers. I'm at a loss for words now because I really wasnt ready for the Snow trade. I know none of you were ready 4 it either, it just let's us all know the King is always working the phones shopping for deals. So without any ridiculous ideas and trades (for example - DC to Toronto for VC) please post em!
Glenn robinson along with a couple contracts to the pacers for ron artest and some people could be a possible trade. Since the pacers are still shopping ron artest and I have heard that the sixers are intrested in trading glenn robinson since he was a dissappointment with injuries last season. Probable a long shot, but if a home town favorite like snow that seemed to be untochable can be traded so can anyone.
I agree, that sounds very worthy. I have heard rumors for players like Antoine Walker, and even Vince Carter. All in all, with all this cap space cleared now, and many players on our roster, a bigger trade is looming, one for a more than average role player. One, that should compliment Allen Iverson better than anyone before. Billy is starting to shape up the team for the future in terms of Allen leaving, so Philadelphia can be a playoff team for many more years to come.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting NbaBaller:</div><div class="quote_post">Snow got traded????? for who?????</div> Kedrick Brown and kevin ollie from clevland it happened earlier today check out the other thread on JBB. It tells all about it you can find it in either the cavs board or here in the sixers board.
I read that King is still having conversations with Dallas on the Antione Walker situation. I could see him coming over to be re-united with old friend and coach O'Brien. I think it would be pretty sweet. Also, I like to point out that we hear all this Dallas talk aobut Dirk and Walker. But does anyone think that Stackhouse may be coming back to Philly?
Idea, anyone think there is a possible 3-way trade brewing up here? 76ers get : Austin Crosere GS get : Coleman and Korver or Buckner Indy get : Eric Dampier

Those two do not get along.
I think the Sixers should go after Jamal Crawford,he is a solid player that could play well with another star on the team, maybe a sign and trade with Glenn Robinson+ another player.

AI already shoots under 40% add another under 40% shooter to the team and you have a shoot first back court that will be taking alot of bad shots. I personally dont think crawford is that good nor worth even robinson. Though mabye if he would improve his shot selection he could become good. I dont see them making that trade though the bulls have stopped trade talks with the knicks. For now.
I think Jamal could play SF,plus he says that he wouldnt mind being in the shadow of a star player.I think he would be a preftect fit in Philly but thats just my opinion.
I'm not quite the Sixers fan, but when they made it to the Finals against my Lakers in 2001, they had something that IMO they've been missing ever since: a big man. Dalembert can't do what Dikembe Mutombo did for them back then...they need a defensive big man, not one that can score...just one that has the body to contend with guys like Wallace and now Shaq (in the East anyways). Their backcourt is good enough...I think putting a strong, defensive player in the paint will take the team far into the playoffs.

Also this is Dalemberts first seeason where he played at least half the games and even the full season.Ranks #9 in the NBA in Blocks Per Game(2.3) Ranks #6 in the NBA in Blocks(189.0).

Dalembert last season also performed really well in the sixers win over the lakers at wachovia. I still rmeember that game till today. Shaq didnt no who the hell dalembert was before the game. Then after the game he new every little fact about dalembert and were he came from. He even said dalembert had a bright future in the NBA. Dalembert I believe is listed at 6'11" but has the wing spand of a tayshawn prince. He will develope into a defensive force in the NBA. He just needs to bulk up a bit. Mabye the sixers may be intrested in aquiring a sharef abdual raheem till dalembert is fully developed, but he will be great defensively.
I'm not saying that he isn't a defensive player...I'm not saying he's an offensive beast, either. What Dalembert doesn't have (that Dikembe did) is determination and a body to throw around. Nobody believed that Dikembe could use his body in the NBA because he didn't look "bulky" like the other centers...but he was muscular and strong...Dalembert is a stick compared to Mutombo. Unless he goes into the weight room and bulks up, he'll be at home watching the playoffs on TV for years to come.
