http://www.proexposure.com/stories/0720d.cfm I was just browsing through hoopshype.com and then I saw L.Murray 27 points on the summer league leaderboard thingy.. at first I thought no.. it can't be Lamond Murray and then I did some research and found out it was him, yea, the L. Murray from the Raptors. I realize that this is just summer league, but the fact that he is playing for his agency's team (SFX) for no comprehension should be appreciated.. Maybe he's trying to get back in shape for next season after getting garbage minutes under Kevin O'Neill last season? I guess we'll have to wait and see.
I heard him about half way through last seaosn request a trade from the raptors as soon as possible saying "There is a difference in being on a team and being part of one." What happened to that guess he got over it. Anyway with mo pete mabye going to the new orleans hornets he should see alot of minutes in the lineup at the 2 guard spot espcially if rose gets hurt. Which might happen since it did last year and he is injury prone some times. He will definitly improve from last season he will be more involved in the team offense. Plus have more of a playing type body. He will hopefully stay with the team and help them be better. Then make the playoffs possible top 6 seeds.
Yea.. except that Murray would most likely see minutes coming from the SF spot, not the SG spot. We got Roger Mason Jr. and Alvin Williams for PG/SG backup roles. The whole requesting trade thing, it happened because of O'Neill and his stubborn 8 man rotation that screwed up the Raptors.
I'm sure Lamond is taking back his trade demand mainly because we have a new coach now. And as Babcock said, everyone has a fresh start, he doesn't care about what happened last season. Mo Pete is likely going to be back...Babcock is going to recommend to the board of directors that they match the Hornets offer.

Guess they could switch it up and play VC at shooting guards some times. I would like to see VC as a point guard lol. I read a sports illustrated magazine a while back before all the injuries and VC said "You havent seen me at my best yet. Some day I want to be a point guard." That would be fun to see him try to run the point.
Mo Pete might be forced to come back if the Raptors match the Hornets' offer, which I hope they do, but if he doesn't want to be here, what's the point of keeping him? Well.. I guess we can do a sign & trade with the Hornets.. LOL Vinsanity at the PG.. I don't know about that one, sure he's a great passer but he's still too turnover prone to play PG and he doesn't have that explosive first step he had 2 years into the league. We don't want to see another Jalen Rose at the PG do we?
^ do you remember Jalen's first game as a Raptor? He was playing PG and he made a lot of crazy passes and he was running the team like Kidd. I was thinking we've finally found out point guard! But alas, it wasn't to be....he was just teasing us.
No... dang I remember I had to work that night What game was it against? Boston? No worries about the Raptors PG though! We got Skip to My Lou' and I'm so looking forward to seeing him throw some Oops to Bosh and Vintage Carter

Last year he didnt miss that many games, but still didnt lose the label since the raptors missed the playoffs, but this year with skip they are set.
I don't remember what team we were playing against but we were playing like Dallas does - running and gunning. It was pretty much the first time that I was excited while watching a Raptor game in like two years.

I don't care what some people say about signing Rafer Alston to a 6 year $29 million deal, it's better than Fisher's 6 year $37 million deal.

Granted I didn't see him much once he went to Miami but when he was here, he couldn't shoot consistently and didn't do a very good job of running the point. I still think he's more suited to come off the bench to give a team a spark but I hope he proves me wrong.
The only downside about Rafer Alston when he was playing with the Heat was that he took way too many threes and it brought down his overall field goal percentage to about 37.6%. Considering his Three Point Percentage was 37.1% and the fact that 434 of 764 total shot attempts were from beyond the arc, you can see why his field goal percentage went down.

Yup I'm looking forward to seeing Skip crossover Stephon Marbury or Jason Kidd and then drive to the hoop for a layup or a dish to someone else. Lamond Murray better show up for this season and use his bulk inside instead of jacking up threes from the perimeter all the time.
Although he tends to hog the ball and shoot like it's not part of the Raptor's play, he makes most of them so his offense is fine with me. However, If Lamond Murray improves his defense, I'm all for him to make a comeback and possibly win the custom award called "2005 Comeback Player Of The Year".
One big reason that we should re-sign Mo Pete is because Sam wants to bring a run & gun offense to the Raptors...which is exactly when Peterson is at his best.

Lamond Murray is forgotten. Even by me. I aleady thought the Raps would do excellent this year, but with the guy i totally forgot about they can be Eastern Conference Championship contenders.
lamond murray is actually better then most ppl think when he was with the cavs and clippers, he could put up a 20 point night any given night......he was inconsistent at times yes, but he is a good outside shooter and an excellent slasher as well
