Eastern Conference: 1. Detroit Pistons 2. Miami Heat 3. Indiana Pacers 4. New York Knicks 5. Orlando Magic 6. New Jersey Nets 7. Philadelphia 76ers 8. Cleveland Cavaliers Western Conference: 1. San Antonio Spurs 2. Minnesota Timberwolves 3. Sacramento Kings 4. Los Angeles Lakers 5. Dallas Mavericks 6. Houston Rockets 7. Denver Nuggets 8. Memphis Grizzlies roughly thought..
Eastern Comference 1. Detroit 2. Miami 3. Indiana 4. New York 5. Milwaukee 6. New Jersey 7. Orlando 8. Philadelphia Western Conference 1. San Antonio 2. Sacromento 3. Memphis 4. Minnesota 5. Dallas 6. Phoenix 7. Houston 8. Denver
West 1. Wolves 2. Spurs 3.Lakers 4.Nuggets 5.Rockets 6.Kings 7.Suns 8.Charlotte East Pistons Miami Indiana New York Philadelphia Orlando New Jersey Clevelend
East 1.Indiana(Add needed scoring from Stephen Jackson, to go along with a very good defensive team) 2.Washington(Can score a lot. Arenas, Hughes(Jarvis Hayes), Jamison, Kwame Brown, and Haywood isn't bad for the East.) 3.Boston(This will be a tough division race, but I think Boston has a good group of players that can grow into a tough team to beat with Pierce, Welsch, and their young bigs along with Doc Rivers as head coach.) 4.Detroit(they would fight for number one, but if the division leaders get the top three spots, they may end up fourth.) 5.Milwaukee(Great coach and Michael Redd and company should be good again this year) 6.New York(I never know about this team. If they get Damp, it should be interesting) 7.Miami(Wade, Jones, Shaq is a great one two three punch. But you can't ride Shaq's back too much in the regular season. In the regular season they should be decent, but in the playoffs they can be a force.) 8.Atlanta(I like their lineup with Jason Terry, Childress, Diaw, Al, and if they add Dampier they can be dangerous) West 1.Spurs(Parker, Manu, Barry, Duncan, Rasho...they should have another good season.) 2.Kings(Playing in the weakest division in the Western Confrence, should help their cause for a division title. And they still have a great starting 5.) 3.TWolves(Key players are another year older. They should still be tough, but Spree and Cassell are getting up there in age and no draft picks don't help) 4.Houston(TMac and Yao, along with a great coach in JVG and good solid role players) 5.Dallas(Still have very good talent there) 6.Denver(They will be tough. Andre Miller will be the key. Tough home court advantage could make this team end up a little higher than 6th) 7.Hornets(Always unsure about this team. Davis, Mash, Magloire should be good along with the addition of Byron Scott should help. But injuries are always possible for this team.) 8.Grizzlies(The 7th and 8th seeds will be a fun race.) Portland, Suns, Lakers, Jazz, and possibly the Clippers and Warriors could all make a run for the 8th seed.
East 1.Detroit Pistons (defending champs) 2.Toronto (could win the Atlantic because the Nets are pretty weak now) 3.Miami (Shaq and Dwyane Wade possibly the next big and small combo) 4.Indiana (still have thier first place team intact) 5.Cleveland (Lebron will lead the way) 6.New Jersey (they only have Jkidd and RJ so they slip from last year) 7.Philidelphia (AI will finally be healthy) 8.Chicago (the young'ns will have a break out year) West 1.San Antonio(could have won it all if it wasnt for those lakers) 2.Minesota (still got KG Cassel and Spree) 3.Sacramento (maybe this is thier year without the lakers in the picture) 4.Houston (Ming and T-mac what else do i have to say?) 5.Denver (Martin and Carmelo will do well) 6.Memphis (theyre over them mking the playoffs by now) 7.Dallas (lost Steve nash) 8.Utah (signed Boozer)
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Pure Skillz:</div><div class="quote_post">East 1. Detroit Pistons (defending champs if mcdyess stays healthy big future.) 2. Philadelphia 76ers (they drafted a good rookie, heathy AI and new coach I see a b right future for them if the team doesnt get hurt.) 3. Orlando Magic (They have the deepest team in there division. Not saying much) 4. Indiana Pacers ( Would be higher in the standing but top three have to be division winners.) 5. Miami Heat (They dont have anydepth any more with the leaving of skip and trading of butler, odam, and grant, but shaq will get them there on pure drive and determination.) 6.Toronto Raptors (If they keep vince now that they got skip they could make a playoff run) 7. Clevland Cavaliers (Lebron and snow will be a good back court that can score and get them to the playoffs.) 8. Chicago Bulls (very improved team. I see them making a playoff push depending on records they may get in. Western Conference 1. Timberwolves (kept entire team in tact.) 2. Spurs (kept entire team and signed barry.) 3. Lakers (I still see them winning there division for some reason) 4. Houston Rockets (The combo of tmac and ming may get them this high I think they will land a bit lower though) 5. Phonex Suns (they have a good team, but are young so I dont see them getting hire besides for nash everyone in there starting lineup is in there ower 20's.) 6. Kings (they will get to the playoffs and have a good regular season, but so will post teams out west so this is were I see them going.) 7. Denver Nuggets (good front line will get them to the playoffs) 8. Memphis Griz (they are a under rated team this season. Because of no big off season signings.)</div> I agree with this list exactly..
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting McGrady^1:</div><div class="quote_post">u guys do realize that MIAMI INDIANA AND DETROIT CANNOT POSSIBLY be top 3, the top team of each conference takes the top 3 seeds. adn the Pacers and pistions are in the same conferences.</div> Your brain is lightning. East 1.Detroit(champs) 2.Miami(Shaq) 3.Philly(weak division) 4.Indiani(would be a 2 seed record wise) 5.Milwauke(Redd, Ford...) 6.New York(great backcourt) 7.Cleveland(lost bozzer but improved in other areas0 8.Jersey(lost martin and kittles, and could lose kidd) West 1.Spurs(duh) 2.Minny(a year older but still good to win there division) 3.Sac(could be there last chance) 4.Denver(great offseason) 5.Memphis(six seed last year and a better team this year) 6.Houston(does McGrady really make a team better?) 7.Lakers(Still got Kobe) 8.Utah(Sloan can take any team to the playoffs) Outside looking in East Wiz- big additions but can only make it in if Kwame produces Boston-solid backcourt but lackluster front court Toronto-Solid frontline but lackluster backcourt Orlando-I'm not sold on francis and mobley West Mavs-lost offensive firepower and still can't play D Pheonix-No center, no real go to player Portland-there two best players play the same posistion New Orleans-Only if Mash stays healthy and thats a big IF.
It's way to early for predictions because there is trades that will be made and the pre-season didn't even start yet.
Wow funny how allu people underestimate the Lakers all we have to do is be better than scramento and we got 3rd seed for sure and i have to go with what pureskillz and the answer3 said those seedings look the best placed to me.

Orlando Magic (possible, but it is the East) 8. New Jersey Nets (lost Martin, but Kidd and RJ are still there) Western Conference: 1. San Antonio Spurs (re-signed Ginobili, and now going after Malone) 2. Minnesota T'Wolves (still have their starters) 3. Sacramento Kings (but they won't go far) 4. Denver Nuggets (adding Martin WILL help Anthony alot) 5. Phoenix Suns (Marion, Amare, Johnson, AND Nash) 6. Los Angeles Lakers (getting rid of Shaq will prove to be a good idea in the long run) 7. Houston Rockets (no chemistry between T-Mac and Yao) 8. Seattle Sonics (Lewis, Flip, Allen, Swift and Collison will play great together, with everyone healthy, and may end up into the second round with an upset)</div> Invalid

You think the Bulls will doing better than the Knicks this year. Are you kidding or what?? I do like the Bulls. I don't see that they will make playoff this year.. they are so young.. Eddy Curry is out of shape.. He's over 300 pounds.. Tyson Chandler always get hurt. The Bulls add Luol Deng and Ben Gordon.. That's great.. But they are inexperience.. In 2 or 3 years, the Bulls definity make a playoff.. For the West.. I totally agree with you.. BTW Great job about your predication.. I like it..
wow they're some pretty wacky predictions here, a lot of them are reasonable but some are waaaaay out there.

I see them with the record 59-23 and the L.A Clippers will NEVER and I repeat NEVER get to the playoffs in the next 10 years also N.O is too soft for the west so Portland will get the number 8 spot.
