First off let me say Im no Jazz fan , but people are seriously underestimating them.Last year they were one game away from making the playoffs with nothing...now they added Snyder , Humphries , Okur , Boozer , and Harpring is coming back from injury. Not to mention the coaching of Jerry Sloan , they will be in the playoffs dont leave them out.

    1. Detroit Pistons (defending champs if mcdyess stays healthy big future.)
    2. Philadelphia 76ers (they drafted a good rookie, heathy AI and new coach I see a b right future for them if the team doesnt get hurt.)
    3. Orlando Magic (They have the deepest team in there division. Not saying much)
    4. Indiana Pacers ( Would be higher in the standing but top three have to be division winners.)
    5. Miami Heat (They dont have anydepth any more with the leaving of skip and trading of butler, odam, and grant, but shaq will get them there on pure drive and determination.)
6.Toronto Raptors (If they keep vince now that they got skip they could make a playoff run)
    7. Clevland Cavaliers (Lebron and snow will be a good back court that can score and get them to the playoffs.)
    8. Chicago Bulls (very improved team. I see them making a playoff push depending on records they may get in.
    </div>

ALright man your post are all good, but this one is wack. First of all Orlando beating the Heat? That is total BS. Thats the biggest piece of crap I have ever seen in this thread yet. And they added a lot more depth ya know. I doubt Orlando even makes the play offs. Your biasness of Orlando is fooling you. They look good on paper but there is absolutley NO cheistry between teammates except Cuttino and Steve Francis, and Kelvin CAto. I also can't see The Sixes beating the Heat and I love the Sixers. Chicago Bulls arnt making any thing either. Another team that looks good on paper, bu no chemistry. Raptors arnt going any where either even though they look good on paper too. You seem to like Teams that look good on paper, but no chemistry. Heres my list.

    1. Detroit(obvious)
    2. Heat(Shaq in the East+ Wade and they have pretty good depth now)
    3. Sixers(new coach, good young talent, will go far if Injurys don't plauge them.
    4. Pacers( again an obvious)
5.. Knicks(A lot of good moves such as Dampier and Jamal Crawford, will give the Sixers a good fight for the division leader.)
6.Bucks (Mike Redd will get better and is a very underrated player.)
    7. Nets(as long as they have Jason Kidd they're fine, but if he leaves its lottery time.)
8.Celtics/Cavs- hard to see but I am in favor of the Cavs. Celtics with the addition of Paytno will do very well and a trio of Blount, Pierce, and Payton is might fierce. How ever I belikeve LeBrons development and the accuireation of Snow and Gooden(which makes up for Boozer) willl be fine.

    <div class="quote_poster">Quoting Pure Skillz:</div><div class="quote_post">Western Conference
    1. Timberwolves (kept entire team in tact.)
    2. Spurs (kept entire team and signed barry.)
    3. Lakers (I still see them winning there division for some reason)
    4. Houston Rockets (The combo of tmac and ming may get them this high I think they will land a bit lower though)
    5. Phonex Suns (they have a good team, but are young so I dont see them getting hire besides for nash everyone in there starting lineup is in there ower 20's.)
    6. Kings (they will get to the playoffs and have a good regular season, but so will post teams out west so this is were I see them going.)
    7. Denver Nuggets (good front line will get them to the playoffs)
    8. Memphis Griz (they are a under rated team this season. Because of no big off season signings.)
    </div>

Spurs will be # uno. Barry will help them more than you think. Lakers are lost now that Kobe is their leader and will end up about a 6th seed. Your underrrating the Jazz and the Nuggets, and the Kings a lot. Your overrtating the Suns a lot. It seems your bias of T-Wolves makes you put the mat 1st which is arguable.

1.Spurs(aqqusation of Barry will perfect them and their my choice to win it all)
    2. T-Wolves(kept their team in tack and it was already good)
    3. Kings(Vlades leave hurt them because Peja cant get his open looks)
    4. Nuggets(K-Mart and they have the best front court in the league.)
    5. Rockets(T-Mac should work better than Francis but they're lack of a PG might hurt them.
    6. Lakers(Shaqs left hurt them a lot.)
    7. Jazz(Boozer,Okur, and Matt Hapring relived of Injury should serve them nicely.)
8.Mavericks(Nowitzki is underrated and will carry his team to an 8th seed.)

Are you crazy?!? You think the Heat will be fifth?!? Orlando will sure as hell not be third and 76ers wont be 2nd the Heat will demolish both of em them, and have better record, making them 2nd seed. BUT i like your boldness of making those predictions lol.

Even though people have their own opinions...The most foolish pick thus far has to be whoever put the Magic at 3rd, winning their division, and the person who agreed with him.

you hit it right on the head ace. Barry is going to be huge for the spurs. He is a great leader, a great passer, and he is one of the leagues top shooters. He's going to generate a lot more scoring for the spurs, but he is a liability on defense, Too slow too gaurd 1's and 2 and not strong enough to gaurd the 3. When he was injured the sonics went into a horrible losing streak which took us out of contention for a playoff spot. A great pickup by the spurs. it was sad to see him go.

btw, no way the magic make the playoffs, francis and mobley couldn't take the rockets to the playoffs until they got a star bigman, something that the magic don't have yet. Nor do they have a coach that commands respect from the players. Thats another reason why the rockets made the playoffs.

Francis and Mobley don't pass to anyone but eachother.

Thnx [IMG] and ya Barry is their missing peice to a title just like Rasheed is Detroits missing piece to their title. Barry is one of the top shooters in the league which the Spurs could use. Ya if I was a Sonic fan( I was when they had Gary and Reign man, but when they traded Gary I did'nt like thier new style of play) I would be sad to see Barry go. Truly a great asset for any team.

Ya the Magic will not make the playoffs and the person who said they make 3rd seed over the Heat are bias probably. Steve Francis is more of a shoooting guard, but he wants to stay a point guard because he knows he'd get his ass kicked by guys like Rip, Kobe, and T-Mac. Steve Fracis will not mprove Dwights development status. Jason Kidd is the best place where I young player can learn the game.

And ya Francis and Moble are only pass to each other as you said, because they are boyfriends. :P lol just a joke if someone is offended by this.

Last yr people were predicting them to win <u>9</u> games.Instead they ended up falling one game short of making it into the playoffs...never underestimate the coaching of Sloan , especially now that he has some talent.

Detoriot and Heat are already a lock for 1,2 because they will win thier divisions. I strongly believe the Raptors will win thier divison not only because they have gotten Skip to My Lou but also because Bosh has improved a great deal. And if Carter can stay healthy we will most likely win it for sure. If you guys recall then last year, we had the 5th or 6th position i nthe East before FOUR of our major players got injured in the same week, therefore the playoffs slipped from our reach. This year, if they can remain healthy at key times, they will win it.
I think it will be a close race between the Sixers and the Raptors but I just feel as if they have more depth to offer.

Yes, they look good on paper but i don't get how your involving chemestry in a team you've never even seen play together. For all you know, the Raptors could gel very well together or they couldn't, who knows. You can't be saying "they have no chemestry" before the season has even started.

    As for the West:

It was a sarcastic question guy , no need to complain about it...as for game 2 it had a good finish (for Laker fans) , so yea it was a pretty good game.It was still basically a 5-game sweep though , no competition at all.

Low scoring games can still be exciting , 73-72 ring a bell?If the the game is hard-fought and it comes down to the final possesions then the score doesnt really matter...I'll give u props though , for recognizing who the best team will be next yr

Ya low scoring games are interesting too. I agree with you. I prefer high scoring games, but as long as theres good defense and some nice blocks I won't mind. Ya and that Game 5 was one hell of a game. I still can't belieev the Lakers let the Spurs cath up though. Tim Duncancs shot was sick. Fishers shot = the best ever. I was glad to see Fisher get the credit he deserved when he made that shot. HE always gets over looked on the Lakers, and now he gets to start on a team. He was my favorite Laker along side Malone and Shaq. Now they just kept Kobe who I hate because he costs the Lkaers the championship and I was rooting for them. [IMG] Aww well.

    2004-2005 predictions

    Eastern Conference
    1. Indiana (60+ wins again)
    2. Detriot (Don't count out defending champs)
    3. Miami (Big Deisel will help for a year or two)
    4. Washington (Better this year, playoff team last year if not for injuries)
    5. New York (Too many guards)
    6. Clevland (Losing Boozer really hurts, but no more decent teams in east)
    7. Phili (If A.I. can stay healthy, may be higher than 7)
    8. Milwaukee (No low post threat at all)

    Western
    1. San Antonio
    2. Minnesota
    3. Phoenix (Every one else in division has fallen off)
    4. Denver
    5. Houston
    6. Utah (could move up to #4)
    7. Dallas
    8. Lakers

Memphis or Sactown may replace Dallas or the Lakers

I'm sorry but I dont see how the Raptors can win their division... VC is done, Bosh is still not ready. Arajuo will help but not enough. Rose sucks now, Marshall just shoots 3s... this team is lottory bound for another 2 years until they can finally compete...

I'm from Canada and I watch them all the time... this team needs more players still.

    East
    1. Detroit (no explanation req.)
    2. Miami (might get malone, might get J-will and Posey... if they do they're #1)
    3. Boston (I know it's a long shot, but I think they can get it together... they drafted some real good potential)
    4. Indiana (Oneal and Artest show again. No dampier = no C. Miller isn't getting any younger)
    5. Chicago (this year they'll get their act together... could be higher if Curry gets it together)
    6. Washington ( I feel this year they will explode)
    7. Philadelpia ( Iggy is a great rook, A.I will keep doin his thang. John salmons is superb, Sammy D is incredible and Kenny T will keep runnin the show)
    8. Up for grabs... but I say Cavs

    West
    1. San Antonio ( incredible)
    2. Minnesota (big 3)
    3. Sac town (not much competition in their pool)
    4. Denver (martin and melo, plus deeper bench with nene as 6th man. Lenard is great. Miller is very underrated)
    5. Dallas (very young team taht will be great)
    6. Utah ( Nice aqquistions in off season. Great all around team.)
    7. Memphis (pretty much same cept with Brian Cardinal who brings more hustle off the bench)
    8. Gonan go with Houston. (Although they have no bench, and noone outside of JJ, Mac and Yao they will just barely pull through) Next year I see them way higher, drafting a PG and PF.
