<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Also, there is reason to believe that the Sixers - who had draft-night conversations with Dallas - might still be open to dealing with the Mavericks for Antoine Walker, who thrived under O'Brien with Boston.

King was willing to confirm that he had spoken with the Mavs "more recently," but would not offer specifics.

"They know what we have to offer," he said.

King also said he got a call yesterday from an unspecified team, about a half-hour before meeting with reporters, concerning a possible deal that might have "some appeal." He said, "I'll think about it," but, again, offered no particulars.</div>

I like this idea, only thing I'm not excited with is that if we get 'Toine, Jim will let him throw up shots the same way he did in Boston. That I am scared of. Below I have compiled a propsed trade.

    I would vote .... No.
Antoine can shoot you right out of a ballgame with his quick 3s.

Guess that's who Phil was talking about yesterday on Comcast when he said about Billy talking to a certain team regularly about a deal.

I would like to see him come to the sixers. He may shoot to many threes, but at least he plays more than 60 games for you unlike some people on the team did last season. Hopefully they can make that deal it improves there talent level alot imo even though it says -5.7 points it is actually + a couple points toine didnt score because of the team he was on not lack of talent.

I think Toine would be good in Philly,he played good when he played with the Celtics and with Coach Obrien, but I would also be afraid he would jack up to many shots.

Glenn Robinson & Walker both shoot much except Walker shoots to many 3's & Robinson takes to many 15 foot mid- range jumpers. But with that being said Walker is the much better all-around & more verstile player. With Eric Snow gone the Sixers are left with Ollie as their only point guard, well it would be good to have a playmaker like Walker to handle the ball & make plays from the forward spot which Robinson cant do. Its would take the pressure off the backcourt to make all the playmaking decision. Also Walker isnt confind to playing just the SF spot like Robinson, he can play both forward spots depending on the situations & matchups, which would make the 76ers a more verstile team. Walker is also a rebounding upgrade.

Antoine looks like a Big Dog with better ballhandling, but he can still deliver. Man I hope this happens. King said he has had recent talks with Big D but didn`t name anybody, as usual.

I agree with what ya'll are saying, but I don't see how the Big Dog for Walker would
make any sense for the Mavs. Walker has one more year, is a slightly better player,
we don't need Buckner, etc.... I really believe Dalembert is the target.

Here are some more tidbits. Pavel Podkolzine has not been signed yet, leading to
speculation that he might be part of a trade (if they sign him, they can't trade
    him until Dec. 15).

    How does this sound:
    Walker, Podkolzine, Delk
    Dalembert, Robinson, Buckner

Think about it really, would you do it? Philly gets salary cap relief in a year,
plus a young guy with potential. Dallas gets the center it needs, and is willing
to take on some bad contracts to do so. Makes sense from both sides, I think.

Why would the Sixers trade a rising star for,Pavel who hasnt proved any thing yet and could just be another average player?

Money! Are they ready to resign Dalembert when he comes up? The
Sixers have a dozen bad contracts (Buckner was just an example).
Don't they have a couple guy on the books for four more years that will
never play again? I'm saying the Mavs give some nice contracts, like
Walker/Laetner/Pavel/Delk in exchange for "a rising star" and take back
    some crap in return.

Well I think if you have a rising star why not pay him,pay him what he is worth about mid level right now then give him an extention we he blows up, not trade him to another team so we can get ''good contracts'' back.

I hear ya Philla, Just don't know if your owner hears ya.

How about another way of looking at this?

    Dampier to Philly
    Dalembert to Dallas
    Walker to GS

Laetner, Stack, Big Dog, Bad Philly Contracts, etc also move.
