Filling Out Our Roster...

    So lets assume that worst comes to worst, and Charlie Ward ends up our starting PG...(although Houston is reportedly still in talks regarding Eric Snow)...I would like us to throw some deal at the Boston Celtics, possibly the trade exception + Weatherspoon for Chris Mihm to fill our backup slot...Then I would sign Anthony Peeler as a backup swingman (great 3-point bomber, finished #1 in the NBA last year)...And I would like Padgett re-signed too...so our roster would possibly look like...

    C: Ming/Mihm
    PF: Howard/Taylor/Padgett
    SF: Jackson/Nachbar
    SG: McGrady/Peeler
    PG: Ward/Lue/Gaines

    I dont think I'm asking too much [​IMG]

    Post yalls mock rosters...and make em realistic :mrgreen:

    I don't bear much hope in getting Chris Mihm. He is, after all, a young restricted free agent whom I don't think the Celtics would want to let go, yet. Also, Weatherspoon is not really what Boston would take as an equivalent for Mihm, and the trade exception is not very useful IMO. I would rather see us go after Vin Baker as a backup center, and leaving Pike and Griffin to back up our swingman positions.

    My roster would look like this:

    C-Yao/Baker/Weatherspoon
    PF-Howard/Taylor/Padgett
    SF-Jackson/Griffin/Nachbar
    SG-McGrady/Piatkowski/Gaines
    PG-Ward/Lue/Gaines/Spanoulis

    Trade for Antonio Daniels, sign Keon Clark, let Mark Jackson retire.

    C - Yao/Clark/'Spoon
    PF - Howard/Taylor/Padgett
    SF - Jackson/Nachbar(now should be the reserve SF)/Griffin
    SG - McGrady/Pike/Gaines
    PG - Daniels/Lue/Wilks/Gaines

    Now that bench wouldnt be bad at all. Nice Starters too.

    KEON CLARK!!!

    Forget Mihm, I'd love to have him in a Rockets uni...I wish the Rockets could split the MLE between him and Peeler, but its doubtful...

And I think he likes the Kings better, because he's able to shoot more. Plus Spanoulis and Badiane will be able to play for us next year..

    Clark is lazy

    that's why he keeps getting traded.. not a good fit for JVG
