I wonder how come this guy is still a free agent. Any thoughts on having this guy on our team if there is a remote chance? The other guy that would be interesting is Darius Miles. NOTE: My bad, I missed the news sources that talked about how he is close to resigning with Detroit. I dont' think its official yet, but its most likely to happen.
Sheed was signed today by Detroit He was never going anywhere else, what size contract and the amount was the only question mark. Golden State also don't have the money to offer him. I don't see why you would need Miles, don't you have enough swingmen?

I recommended Darius Miles because, we need depth at the small forward position and I don't think that's something a shooting guard should have to handle. D-miles, who is 6'9, has the arm length to play like a taller forward so I'm really high on this guy as a defender, playmaker, and an improving midrange shooter who can give us another mismatch against the other team.
Rasheed got 5 yrs, 57 mil from Detroit. Miles is intriguing. I'm hoping he signs for one year with Portland, which would make him an unrestricted FA next year. That gives us one more year to assess our young guys, and assess Miles, and use our cap space to go after him or another player next year.
Miles is prefect in a running system, he is not effective when he has to play halfcourt basketball. His role also has to be limited for teams to get the best out of him. I guess Golden State would be the right fit If they are all of the above. Portland's hopes of re-signing him don't seem too likely, he has not gotten the offers or attention he expected.
Hey I don't see anything that officially states that Rasheed is going to re-sign. I guess you're assuming now, Allnet? I just see news reports that say based on sources. Oh well I guess its close enough, but I never believe it until its in official. Yeah I don't think we have a chance at D-miles unless he comes off the bench because I figure the warriors want to mix it up with any style of game whether its halfcourt or running.

Oh cool thx, Allnet Again its most likely to happen, but its not going to be official until tomorrow it says. Official to me is when its on the NBA website and they stop saying "sources said".
Sheed was a steal compared to some of our FA signings. I really wish we could have gotten Brent Barry. I heard he signed for less $$ in SA than what we offered him...I would love to pick up Miles. Sign and trade Damp + someone else...
I loved how Rasheed proved all the haters wrong last year when they said he would just be a disturbance in Detriot. Boy did he prove them wrong.
Yeah you think being in Detroit, Sheed would find more drugs... J/k He probably needed a change of scenery and some guys that wouldn't influence his bad behavior.
