Idea, anyone think there is a possible 3-way trade brewing up here? 76ers get : Austin Crosere GS get : Coleman and Korver or Buckner Indy get : Eric Dampier
In this one, Pacers win big. They trade away an underachieving Croshere who has a fat contract and gets a possible All-Star in return. Philly wouldn't want to do it too. Croshere is basically a Keith Van Horn, and if he didn't mesh well with AI, what makes you think Croshere would? This trade is very unbalanced from all degrees and would NEVER happen.
Yeah but Croshere is a fire cracker on the bench and would fit in nicely the the 76ers. Not really sure if his defense can hold up, but he has a mean jumper and isn't scared to take it to the rack like Van Horn. And if given time he is probably more consistent than KVH.
I can understand why the Pacers do this deal they get Dampier to play along side J.Oneal which would put their frontline alongside that of the Pistons in the east. I can see why the Warriors do this, they get Coleman's expiring contract & a light's out young shooter. But what I dont understand is why the sixers do this trade? They would be giving up Kover who if given the time can stretch the floor creating space for Allen Iverson's penetration, the developement of Sam Dalmbert down low and if Andre I. becomes the type of playmaker everyone is expecting, having a shooter to create plays for would be benefitical. And All the sixer get in return for giving up a young Kover is Croshere who plays no defense, has been an NBA let down since the 2000 NBA finals and has a worst contract then Coleman.
GS doesn't get in-kind value back for Dampier. They have much better options available to them than this deal, IMO.
Pacers would be killin in this deal... what is the infatuation with Croshere?? Philly would be the big losers... and GS?...well, yeh, whatever...but why would Philly make this deal... and with Dale Davis, Troy Murphy and Foyle, where would Coleman see minutes? Someone's gonna be left out, and each PF (except for Murphy) has a huge contract...
I always liked Croshere, he looks like a hard worker that needs minutes but doesn't get them because of all the young high athleticism on the Pacers. And when he does get in he helps out majorly.
I think this trade would be horrible for philly. They get a guy that has never proved any thing in the NBA with a big contract. Also trade away one of my favorite players on the team in DC. With teams like the magic and alot of other teams looking for big men they could get alot more than f****** croshere. DC was traded to philly for george lynch a very good power forward vetern. It would be stupid after trading lynch for DC to give him up for nothing. I dont think or at least dont hope this trade goes down. I would like to see a straight up for dampier or a trade that would been walker going to the sixers.
They are thinking on buying out DC's contract anyway, so would you rather see him get traded or get released? As a sixers fan, I dont mind this trade as long as we dont give up Korver. DC is a cancer to this team, and IMO a cancer to any team he plays for. DC and buckner for croshere? I would do it

Personally I wouldnt do this trade if the only options are it or releasing him because it brings a bad contract to the sixers team. He(croshere) earns alot of money for a average player and the sixers dont need that.
i wouldnt like that i would rather Indy get Buckner and Coleman...GS: get Croshere and Philly get dampier..
I couldn't see this trading happening. Kyle Korver fits too well with the Sixers new style of offense. Jim O'Brien is searching for players who could run up and down the floor or could shoot the ball from beyond the ark. But if this trade were to go down we would get the opposite, we would get Austin Croshere a player who has clearly passed his prime and is on the decline. However, he could shoot the ball well, but still I don't see how he could fit in with the Sixers. In my eyes he just a bigger and slightly more improved (when it comes to fitting in) version of Keith Van Horn, which doesn?t really cut it.
Why would Golden State want to do this trade?? They have many different options of trading Dampier, and this has to be the worst one ive heard so far. Dampier's stats PPG 12.3 RPG 12.0 Coleman's stats PPG 8.0 RPG 5.6
