No article on it yet, but it's set to be announced today. Kevin O'neil was the Raps coach last year, and was an assistant under Carlisle in Detroit, and are very close friends. I was one of the few Raps fans that didn't want him to get fired. Its nice to see him get another chance as an A.C.

Him and Carlisle are playing golf together, and under Carlisle's wedding, he was the man holding the bride or something..........good to have two best friends as coaches:)

O'neil is a good fit for Carlisles disciplined system. He's a very tough hands-on coach who could not handle the responsibility of being the main man in Toronto. He's a very good assistant and a hell of a defensive coach.

This should be a love story: Old friends reunite.....

When the Toronto Raptors fired coach Kevin O'Neill in April after one season, it seemed only a matter of time before he was reunited with Rick Carlisle.

That time will become official early next week, when O'Neill signs a three-year contract that matches the time remaining on Carlisle's deal.

O'Neill replaces Ron Rothstein on Carlisle's staff of assistants. Rothstein was hired by former Pacers coach Isiah Thomas a year ago and was retained when Carlisle replaced Thomas in August. He had just a one-year guarantee </div>

It's nice to hear something positive happen to KO.

Although things didn't go well here, I've still got big amount of respect for him.
    Good Luck.
