<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">The Mavericks, chock full of mismatched roster pieces thanks to several offseason trades, are busy working the phones now that the player movement moratorium has ended. The Philadelphia Inquirer is reporting that the Mavs are discussing a trade with the Sixers that would exchange forward Antoine Walker for Glenn Robinson. The Ft. Worth Star-Telegram is suggesting that the Mavs are also exploring a trade that would send Dallas guard Jerry Stackhouse and forward Christian Laettner to Orlando for Magic forward Drew Gooden.</div> <div align="center">Link</div> First they let a legitimate player like Jamison go for Stackhouse (*cough*cancer*cough*), and next they let Steve Nash go in hopes of acquiring Shaq?but that wasn't even the case. Well I?m interested to see what they do next because I?m utterly confused in what direction their heading in.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Philla Fan 22:</div><div class="quote_post">Maybe they will trade Toine to Philly for DC next?</div> that would be another genius move on the part of the mavs what next? michael finley for allan houston? imo, the mavs did the worst of all western conference teams this offseason... yes, even worse than the lakers no one demanded a trade, they just decided to blow their team up for the sake of getting under the cap. Now they got all these pieces that don't fit and no takers for their big contracts
Knowing them they probably will... but the Mavs are my team, even though they are making VERY stupid moves, I will still support that team even if they do go 0-82. I just hope Mark Cuban has some kind of trick up his sleeve to make forth the better of this team, even if it means trading Dirk
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Avery:</div><div class="quote_post"> .... First they let a legitimate player like Jamison go for Stackhouse (*cough*cancer*cough*), and next they let Steve Nash go in hopes of acquiring Shaq? ....</div> We are all confused by the incomplete picture we've gotten so far and we can only hope that Donnie Nelson has something better that DC or Big Dog in the plans. I must disagree with your point above though. They traded Jamison (A BENCH PLAYER) for Devin Harris. Devin Harris was the fifth player selected in the draft, and will be the starting point guard for years to come. As President of the Jamison Fan Club, even I must admit that it was a great move. Stack and Laetner (the REAL cancer in this deal) were just there to make the dollars work. Obviously, despite Cuban's public comments, they must have known that Nash would walk.
Well you have to admit. <div class="quote_poster">Quoting SunshineRain:</div><div class="quote_post">We are all confused by the incomplete picture we've gotten so far and we can only hope that Donnie Nelson has something better that DC or Big Dog in the plans. </div>I give a plus to the sixers trade for Derrick coleman. <font face="Palatino Linotype"><font size="5"><u>I believe DC and Danny fortson could murder int he post.</u></font></font>
