The L.A Lakers dominated the League like anything we?ve seen in a while. They had 2 superstars that are/was among the Top 5 Players in the League, following that off you had a Hall of Fame coach named Phil Jackson. First you had Shaquille O?Neal the most dominating player in his era. The 7?2, 360 pound monster dominated the paint like no other. He was physically unstoppable and no one came close to containing him. He was a force to be reckoned with. A player a Shaq size and stature was hard to come across, that?s what made Shaq so special and this why he dominated the way he did. However, size isn?t everything and size doesn?t help when you?re at the FT line. And when opposing teams finally though of way to stop Shaq, by going to the hack a Shaq theory all that came to end in the final 2 minutes of the game. That?s when Kobe Bryant makes his move. Just when the opposing team thinks they have the game within their reach the silent assassin makes his move. Kobe Bryant has hit clutch shots one after another; he?s arguably the most clutch/best player in the NBA today. Bryant is another player that doesn?t come across too often. He?s has Michael Jordan type talent, which means that he is pretty darn good in every aspect of the game. And lastly you had the cherry on the pie. Phil Jackson the future Hall of Fame coach led the Lakers to the NBA Finals 4 out of his 5 years with the Lakers and won 3 Championships in the process. Now some may think he?s overrated because he has great talent such as Shaq and Kobe, but keeping them in line and making them putting their egos aside to coexist and win 3 consecutive championships isn?t a easy task and it something that not too many coaches can accomplish. Unfortunately, this dynasty came to end. But like all Dynasties, when one crumble a new one begins. So with the stars today such as Duncan, Garnett, LeBron, Carmelo etc?Whom do you think will bring their team to new heights and start that next NBA Dynasty?

Give him Yao, and he'll be a mediocre player once again...and Houston will realize that they traded off The Franchise for a guy who could never earn that nickname unless he was on the team by himself.
^ yup...realdealbneal is one of my fav. posters...also SCBRian...cuz they like the onlyy onez that make some damn sense around here, especially regarding the Lakers and Kobe.

He's just not as clutch as Kobe is, and with Houston he's gonna have to be clutch and take some responsibility. <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">^ yup...realdealbneal is one of my fav. posters...also SCBRian...cuz they like the onlyy onez that make some damn sense around here, especially regarding the Lakers and Kobe.</div> That's pretty sad man....

Mcgrady didn't only do great personally because he was the only talented player there, he did so well because of the skills he has. You don't average 29,6 and 5 just because you are the only scoring option. Kobe is going to be in a situation alot like Mcgrady was, being the focal point off the offense and of all the defensive pressure. He no longer has the 300 pound monster to hide behind. Mcgrady on the otherhand will get the chance to play with a a big man who will make his life so much easier. Much less defensive pressure and a guy who can go to work in the post which will mean T-mac won't have to spend all his energy keeping his team in the game by scoring every point. Mcgrady is a superstar player and that won't change. For you to even think he would be mediocre by going to a team where he can rely on a big man to do alot of the work is laughable.
The next NBA dynasty I believe right now if you look at the league you have to say its either the heat and shaquille oneal if they get a little more depth. Or the pistons. The pistons resigned everybody who played a key part in there title run except okur. They got mcdyess who has had injuries in the past, but will not be depended apon to be the savior of this team like he was in new yokr so he will play much less time and will be less likely to hurt himself. Look at a player like elden cambell and you will seee what I mean he had a couple injury plauged season, but went there this year and didnt have to play uneeded minutes came up big in the finals for them. Then my other thing why I consider them the next dynasty. They have no egos on there team. Everyone there nows they are part of a bigger unit which is the whole consept of a team! They under stand that they need each other to win there is no super star player its all for one and one for all there. Look at the finals mvp this year for them billups and thats only because they had to choose one. Anyone in there starting lineup could have been the mvp. Thats why I think they can possible make a dynasty. Another team I think would possible start a dynasty is the wolves. They have the highest scoring nba trio. All signed for the next couple of years so they dont need to worry about contract situations. They have the best leader possible in KG. Who unlike any other leader in the nba with the exception of duncan doesnt have an ego. They lost in the western conferense finals in 6 games. 6 games! Without there all star point guard they still battles in the series for 6 games. Imagine what they could do this year with the return of a healthy hudson. Along with cassels back spasms fixed.
Once again the Kobe nutlicker and his biased opinions... realbneal, I really try not to call you that, but the biasness and the stupidity of your posts just calls for this appropriate nickname. Get off whatever the hell drugs you're on realbneal. Whether Tmac is better than Kobe or vice versa is debatable, I'm not here to argue about that. But for you to call Tmac a mediocre player is very very unintelligent. Let's be serious, do you know what you're talking about?
There's not going to be a team that wins back to back to back championships for a while. Who knows it might not ever be done again. A dynasty is a team that wins 3 atleast consecutive championships, and I don't see that happening for a while. It could of been Kobe and 'Melo, but that still would of been a tough task. The closest thing to a dynasty will be T-Mac-Yao, Parker-Duncan and Wade-Shaq. The Heat will get an easier path to the Finals because they're in the EAST, so they have atleast a legit shot, but you have to beat the west, and Shaq can do that right now, and possibly for the next 3 years and Wade, well if he's healthy, the sky is his limit on his potential.

You've got a problem with guys that have Kobe as their favorite player, and you call them a Kobe nutlicker. Well, what if my favorite player was someone else you didn't care for? Just because you don't like a player doesn't mean you have to run your immature mouth to everyone that does like that player. When are you ever going to control what you say? All you ever do is go around and try to intimidate posters that don't agree to your opinions...well, that's pretty sad. It only shows your mentality, that you can't debate a topic without shooting for someone's throat. To argue anything with you is just a waste of time, because everyone knows what to expect from you...and it's all BS.

IM am not sure about the next dynasty but the PHX Suns deffiantly have a future dynasty, espically if they sign Q.Rich,if they just keep the team together I think they will be the team to beat in the future.

Are you trying to say that a young star can't enter the league and be good? Kobe was right out of high school, right? He didn't get hardly any opportunities to play his first two years, yet in the Rookie game during the All-Star break, he set the rookie game record with 31 points. What's your excuse for that? And to say he sucked until he went to orlando because only did good cuz he HAD to is a compliment to the guy showing how he carried the team to multiple playoff seasons with a squad that was pretty much crap. Pair him on a better team and he becomes crap huh??? never heard that theory before... i guess cassell had his worse season ever this year cuz he was paired with a superstar in KG, and in turn that made him a worse player right? good logic, you've shed the light on us all
In fact, McGrady started 17 games his rookie year, averaging 18 minutes a game. His scoring average was 7.0 PPG. Kobe's rookie year, he started only 6 games...averaged 15 minutes, 7.6 PPG. That's with a scoring monster on his team named Shaq. So what? McGrady was young? That doesn't mean much. If McGrady is scoring 30 PPG by himself, and Kobe is close behind him (in 2002-2003 especially)...then I wouldn't be bragging much if I was T-Mac, because he can't share the ball. His average is shot up...once he's with Yao, he'll average under 22 PPG, especially with Jim Jackson around. Kobe had Payton, Malone and Shaq...putting in 24 PPG is incredible, when Shaq had 20 & Payton/Malone had about 28 together.
