Can you post the entire story. I cant few it without registeration. Anyway I think this is a bad move in the twolves part. Kandi had a horrible season for them after saying when he was signed that he would be the biggest bargen of the off season. I remember a game were he started out on fire scroing 9 points in the first quarter vs the lakers I believe in the conference finals. He finished that game with a total of 9 points.

He does not have the work ethic to be a starter for us. He makes a good player off the bench as a back up, but not no were near a starter. He is sort of like tyrone lue a guy who performs well when there is less pressure on him. He doesnt have the confidence to play consistantly when he starts. Often getting lost in our rotation.

He was drafted 1st overlal a word everyone used was potential. Well I think it is about time we stopped using that word. He has been in the league long enough to form himself into a good player and he hasent. I think the wolves need to perssue a free agent like a keon clark rather than keep kandi as the starter. Clark isnt the greatest player, but he can block shots like crazy and give us an inside presence.

That's the whole story. And Olowokandi didn't have a horrible regular season, he only had a horrible post season. I agree with you that he doesn't have a good work ethic because I read that somewhere. But I don't think it's his confidence that is the problem. It's just that the playoffs and the regular season aren't the same, he can't play at that level.

If the Timberwolves are keeping him as a starter, maybe they have confidence in him and feel that he can produce for them. And they have already chosen to let him start and won't sign or trade for a center, so I doubt they will change their minds.

He didn't have a horrible regular season because he was injured. They should look for another center or pursue a trade. This was a horrible move. He never lived up to the hype of being a #1 draft pick.

    hes a rookie

basicley olowokandi was a rookie last year, yes he played awhile w/ the clippers, but can u really count the clippers as an NBA team? he never got winning expierience, never had playoff expierience, never really had anyone to show him the ropes of playing for a good time in the NBA, like he has in mchale, and KG, who both can help him w/ his game, Rasho wasnt any better when he first started in minnesota, look at him now, thanks to the help from KG, and McHale, i am glad they r sticking w/ him, the only way for him to get better and help the team, is for him to develop and learn, by playing. Besides, it was his first year w/ the wolves, and hopefully next year will be better, just cuz a player doesnt perform right away doesnt mean u trade em away, if that was the case, Kevin Garnett would no longer be a wolf, after an eight point a game rookie year, he came nowhere near a leBron James, but, u have to stick w/ players, especially young ones, and allow them to develop, olowkandi could end up, being an amazing player for the wolves, or he could end up a huge bust, but u wont find out, unless they try him out, and give him time to improve.

Olokandi sucks. Period. Even EJ producese more for the team than this guy. Can't believe he's a #1 pick. I mean, for gods sake even shawn bradley plays better than him.

I think kandi's stats were better than EJ I believe he averaged more points I will have to check later. Though I to can not believe he is a number 1 pick he plays decent if he were to be a back up not for a starters though.

Then Bradely he plays better than alot of people he is top 10 in the nba in blcked shots and a pretty good defender if he didnt have a big contract I would prefer him over kandi do to him being 7'6 and a monster shot blocker while putting up a few offensive numbers as well.

I wouldnt say kandi sucks period he sucks for a former 1st overall pick, but is a decent body and backup center imo just not a starter. He is better than a couple big men in the league including our old center rasho imo. He will have offensive sparked games at times, but is not consistant.

You have to go with Kandiman as the starter next year because Ervin Johnson will be 38 before the season is even half over. EJ will not be able to give the type of minutes he gave last year. Which means Kandiman will be playing a boat load of minutes, so the wolves needed Kandiman in the games early so he can be comfortable playing alongside the big 3. You could often see Sam & KG etc trying to help kandiman find the spot on the floor where he was surpose to be in certain offensive sets etc. He never really figured it out, therefore he never felt comfortable. But I think this year the Big 3 will really make it a focal point of getting Kandiman involved in every game early.

I really do think the wolves still need to add another bigbody tho, even if they cant pull off a bigtime name or bigtime post scorer, they still needed to bring in cheap bigbody who will at least throw his body around down low, Traylor could be an option or Corie Blount someone that. They want give you much offense but they will be pyshical at a cheap price. And thats what the Wolves desperately need.
