SCBrian wants me to prove that MJ is better than Kobe at 25. He will say why he thinks Kobe is bettert than MJ at 25. Just vote for whos argument is better and post somments at will. Heres my arugument on why MJ is better at 25 Kobe at 25 PPG-24 RPG-5.50 APG-5.1 BGP-.43 SPG-1.72 FG%-.438% FT%- .852 MJ at 25 PPG-32.5 RPG-8 APG-8 BPG-.80 SPG-2.89 FG%- .538% FT%- .850% So Stats wise MJ was a much better plaer at 25. At 25 MJ also had won his first MVP AND a defensive player of the year award. Kobe is also a ball hog(unlike MJ) He spent every possesion in these finals like he was trying to get a top 10 play on sports center. There may be the fact that Kobe has more titles but he has had Shaq The most dominant player in the game today. I dont know about you but Id much rather have Shaq then Pippen as my partner in crime. Kobe may have had to share the ball more this season but there are 2 things in mind. MJ is also more clutch than Kobe. Name some clutch shots of Kobe beside the final season game vs the trailblazers and the Game 2 NBA finals. Kobe also forces shots instead of feeding the ball to Shaq when he gets doubled. It definetly is the main reason it cost the Lakers the title. Jordan made one Of the most clutch games in NBA hitory know as "The Shot" when he swiped it away from Karl Malone. Kobe has never did anything like that. Jordan was also stronger to Kobe. Jordan had one of the best post games in his time. IMO its disrepectful to compare Jordan to Kobe. lol Kobe could also end up like Penny but I kinda doubt it but its funny to think of the possibilitties. Could Kobe end up a Shaqless loser just like Adubb said Im waiting for your post SCBrian
Damn, 30+ppg.. That proves that the players of the past can whoop the players now.. It's like we're sucking as the NBA evolves.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting typemilitant:</div><div class="quote_post">Damn, 30+ppg.. That proves that the players of the past can whoop the players now.. It's like we're sucking as the NBA evolves.</div> Ya and the previous years he averaged 35 and 37.1
30+ is just the little picture. Look how he did it, 54%, 8apg, playin the best D in the L and not having a big like Shaq opening the floor. Kobe is better tho because of his huge FT% advantage...
Man Kobe averaged 30 pts last year, while sharing the wealth with Shaq too...So shut the hell up. What the hell did he do without pippen? Get past the first round...hit a sorry shot against the Cavs... He's great..but Kobe can do whatever he can... *Chris Rose: Kobe Bryant or Michael Jordan? **John Salley: I played with both Kobe and Michael. I would have to say that Kobe Bryant is the better player. Kobe has a much better shot, handles the ball better, and just has more tricks to go along with his game. And just look at his career...he already has 3 rings and he's going for his fourth this year. *Chris Rose: Yea because he's playing with Shaq, the most dominant big man ever, right? **John Salley: Wrong. Playing with Shaq of course makes it easier for Kobe, but I don't thing Michael would have done as well as Kobe is, playing with another superstar. If you think about it, Jordan had someone who rebounded for him (Rodman) and brought leadership to the team (Pippen). Other than Jordan, the Chicago Bulls didn't have any real good offensive players. Jordan did the scoring all by himself. Where in Kobe's case, there's Shaq, who's another superstar that wants to score points, or else he gets upset as we've seen many times before. Kobe shares the ball with Shaq, and still puts up big numbers by himself, which is what amazes me. Kobe puts up the same numbers as Jordan did, and Kobe's playing with Shaq. If Kobe was on a team without Shaq, he would score 45 points per game. *Chris Rose: O.K. You made some good points, but you agree that Jordan is a better defender, right? I mean, he won the defensive player of the year award several times. **John Salley: No way, I dont agree! Back in Jordan's days, you were allowed to put your elbows on the guy you were defending. Now in Kobe's days, even if you just touch a player like that, you get called for the foul. *Chris Rose: O.K., whatever John. Well here's my last argument, and if you don't agree with me on this one, we're gonna have to test you for drugs. **John Salley: Man, shuttup. I played with Jordan and Kobe. Did you? *Chris Rose: No, but I do know that when it's late in the game, you want Jordan taking the final shot. **John Salley: How can you say that? You just say that because Jordan made the game- winning basket on your sorry Cleveland Cav's team back in the early 90's. Man, for the next show, we should put a clip together showing Michael Jordan's game- winning shots and Kobe Bryant game- winning shots and compare the two. Jordan might have more game- winners, but Kobe still has 10 years left in this league, and he's not even at his best right now. Another thing of course is Kobe's trial case. I don't think anyone in the history of basketball could do what Kobe is doing traveling from court to court, scoring 30+ points. Nuff said...he played with them...he knows better.
WTF does John Salley and Chris Rose have to say. I happen to know them but I should make a thread saying who knows about them and who cares what they have to say. Ignorant Kobe lovers. Once again, MJ didnt have a team at first. Kobe came to a team with Shaq. WTF. How could you not be contenders. <div class="quote_poster">Quoting Prodigy:</div><div class="quote_post">Get past the first round...hit a sorry shot against the Cavs...</div> At least he hit clutch shots early in his career. All I can do is repeat Air Ball twice Maybe your blocking that out of your mind, or maybe you just started liking Kobe after Shaq hooked him up with some hardware. This looks like such a fake conversation too lol. Preschool Kids. <font color="red"><font size="1">we have an edit button. it's there for a reason. learn to use it. ~Dre</font></font>

What about the million experts who say MJs better? Its also obvious that John Salley is a Kobe bias he makes MJ sound like a scrub. And like Adubb said once again Ignorant Kobe lovers.
ron harper also played w/ both guys... phil jackson coached both guys... why don't u ask them who is better? john salley has no say, he never PLAYED period... he just happened to wear the same uniform as them... i bet you if you asked him which pistons team had better D... todays pistons or "HIS" bad boys pistons, he'd say his bad boys pistons... but he won't use the stupid argument that they were allowed to be more physical back then... as the game evolves, so do the rules, its not an excuse that they were allowed to do this or not allowed to do that...
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Prodigy:</div><div class="quote_post">If Kobe was on a team without Shaq, he would score 45 points per game.</div> I really like this quote
How is there even an arguement? MJ is better in every statistic except FT shooting, and even then, Kobe is only better by 2 percent.
Learn the edit button. Statwise MJ is better and to me is the better player. Michael has changed the game of basketball. He made little kids believe and dream they could fly and they could actually be succesful in life. He brung a great presence with him on and off the court. Of course Kobe is going to have better handles etc then michael becuase this is a new time and era in which kobe is playing in. If you ask me those 3 rings were because of the help shaq gave kobe. Jordan didn;t do it alone neither pippen and rodman had their spotlight moments that won a few of the games Jordan was credited for. Jordan was a phenominal player and man that changed the game of basketball. Kobe is a phenominal basketball player with a great talent. Stat wise MJ is better.
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Bobcats:</div><div class="quote_post">How is there even an arguement? Even thought its obvious to every1 who the better player is and why not much explaining is needed.
alrite, first of all, jordan couldn't shoot the three til he was like 28 or somethin, 2nd they never played zone then so the middle was totally open, forget stats or awards, today the nba players are 10 times more ready when they get to the nba. theres also more talent and less white bois
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Prodigy:</div><div class="quote_post">Man Kobe averaged 30 pts last year, while sharing the wealth with Shaq too...So shut the hell up. </div> kobe sharing the ball???? HAHAHAHHA.... you're kidding right? does kobe and sharing even belong in the same sentence? you're talking about a guy who needed 23.5 shots per game to get 30 points, all the meanwhile playing alongside a guy who scored 27.5ppg taking only 18.1 shots per game
I'm just going to vote right now that Ace2k2 has won this arguement, because really, anyone who thinks Kobe is better is a groupie.

kobe is better alrite, u c the nba bodies these days, almost all rookies have more muscle than mj had when he first came in. His body was like pure skin when he same in, he had hops, quickness and natural strength that was all he neeed to dominate. Now if ur body is not well conditioned like mj's was, then ur toast, ur dead, look at lebron carmelo wade, then all got beast like bodies, and kobe at 25 was huge. MJ had nice natural ability but if he was in the nba in that body, he'd be totaly meshed.
