How will Boozer perform for the Jazz this season? Sure he performed very nice for the Cavs in the East, but he's in the West now with bigger and badder players. The PF's in the West aren't what they are in the East. You have Duncan, Garnett, Randolph, Brand, Dirk, Amare, and many others who don't play soft. Those PF's are out there to get physical and to grab board and to get all over you. Can Boozer hang with these guys? My prediction, is that he doesn't put up the numbers like he did last season with the Cavs. He dominated on the boards, but he was in the East with smaller and less physical PF's. Everyone knows the West is known for their big men, and now Boozer is a part of that. But I do hope for the best for Boozer, very young, and could dominate the West one of these years. Opinions, thoughts?

I think Boozer will handle the adjustment well. He's already proven he can play PF well despite his size in the East. He will be a year older and stronger this season, and it's his 3rd season which should be his best yet. The opposition in the West will be harder for him, but with Sloan coaching and AK47 on his team he will be fine. He averaged 15 and 11 last season, and got better as the season went on. So even if he does struggle with the transition, his numbers will still be impressive. He gives Utah what they needed in rebounding and scoring.
What is he 6'7, 6'8...he might end up being the Ben Wallace of the west...I dont really think he is 6'9 as listed on NBA.com..I htink his offensive production will go down and he will grab about 12 boards a game..
He will do fine, I found this article on Boozer, http://www.rototimes.com/index.php?sport=p...F20040719150311 It states that Boozer in 49 games in eastern conference, Boozer averaged 15.6 points and 11.3 rebounds per game while shooting 53% from the field. Against the West, Boozer averaged 15.3 points and 11.6 rebounds while shooting 50% from the field. Also it has a table with teams in the west and his stats, the only team that gave him real fits was the Spurs, and Tim Duncan gives everyone fits. Another point and example is Brad Miller, alot of people said when he moved to the Western Conference his stats would go down but his stats went up. He raised from 13.1 ppg, 8.3 rpg, 2.6 apg; in the west he upped his averages to 14.1 ppg, 10.3 rpg, 4.3 apg. Part of it could of been the system the Kings run, but really I don't think the conferences mean that much.
