Is the Mailman relocating to South Florida? At least one Hall of Fame power forward seems to think so. "Regarding the possibility of signing free agent Karl Malone, Timberwolves vice president Kevin McHale said he hears the veteran power forward will sign with Miami," longtime columnist Sid Hartman wrote in Monday's Minneapolis Star Tribune. Malone's agent, Dwight Manley, and Heat General Manager Randy Pfund admitted they've had ongoing discussions involving the 14-time All-Star. Malone, who turned 41 last week, is recovering from minor knee surgery and the removal of bone spurs from the middle finger of his shooting hand. </div> Full Story
This is good news. now we have malone coming from the west and shaq from the west. The Heat will be really good if Malone plays well. He has a better chance at winning a championship in the east too.
Im happy malone mite be coming but i was sorta hoping for haslem to start. He could probably become a ben wallace like players as da years go by
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting Einitials:</div><div class="quote_post">Malone is too old to play and should retire.</div> lol
<div class="quote_poster">Quoting heatfan83:</div><div class="quote_post">lol</div> lol Malone is in better shape than most players in the NBA, He could keep playing until hes 45 if he wants to. I see no need of him to retire.
Sorry, but Malone is not even half the player he was two years ago. Just look at the playoff. He got owned by each player he went up agaisnt. Tim, Sheed, and KG. He also became very injure prone last year.

He has gotten injured once, and it wasn't an injury caused by his body, but from someone falling on him. He didn't get owned by sheed. He was hobbling. He would of made a much faster recovery if the lakers didn't misdiagnosed his injury.
You guys know Shaq is probally recruiting him, but he would deffiantly be a positive addition to the team.I am also happy Malone might not retire mabe he will be able to beat Kareems record of points.
Karl Malone is trying to hard to get a title, kind of sad - yet you have to feel bad for the guy. He needs to realize rings don't make a player and he'll still go down as one of the greats. He could be a positive addition to the Heat. With a frontcourt of Malone & Shaq the Heat will be one of the best in the eastern conference. With or without Malone, I still think the Pistons are the better team.

Karl Malone is becoming older and weaker each year. I seriously doubt he would be capable of playing a full season next year.
It was the same knee both times and was never really right again so it was more of an aggravtion the second time, as for chasing the rings, his quest will be over if he signs with the heat, the spurs would take him and if he wanted a ring as bad as some people think he does he would go to the spurs. If he signs with Miami it will be to have fun with Shaq and to play ball. He said last year he liked playing alongside a dominant big man something they never had in Utah, maybe he liked it so much that he will go to Miami.
Magic Johnson and Kareem Rush, were on Jimmy Kimmel live yesterday. Magic said their is a high chance that Karl will stay. He said he has a nice relationship with Kobe, and his wife and kids like LA. Also, he said that Malone wants to play because last year he was robbed my injuries and did not play to his full potential/didn't play in the Finals. Malone in the line-up is a big plus, if it happens!!! Sorry to burst youre bubbles guys.
