Terms were not disclosed, but under the rookie salary scale as the third overall pick, Gordon will make $9.03 million over three years with a fourth-year option. As the seventh overall selection, Deng will receive $6.11 million over three years with a fourth-year option.

Seeking to change the losing culture in Chicago, Bulls vice president of operations John Paxson used the draft to select players from winning college programs. Gordon helped Connecticut win a national championship as a junior and Deng led Duke to the Final Four as a freshman. Paxson also took Deng's teammate Chris Duhon in the second round.

Gordon and Deng recently led the Bulls to a 6-1 record in the Rocky Mountain Revue summer league. Gordon averaged 13.5 points in 25.5 minutes and Deng averaged 15.4 points and 5.3 rebounds in 28.1 minutes.</div>
