What do you all think about Vince not being on Team USA? I remember when I watched the olympics in 2000 vince brought so much excitement and awesomeness to it. Do you think it is worth watching Team USA this year?

Of course its worth watching. Basketball is now one of my favorite summer olympic events, now that the US dosen't dominate like they once did. USA basketball assembled a nice young team, leaving the dinosaurs off and quite frankly, being turned down by alot of older established stars. This should prove to be a good thing, because the younger players have more to prove and are hungry, this should be an exciting event.

I can care less if Vince is not on the team, as long as his replacement(s) have the exact determination to win the Gold medal like Vince had.

It's his choice...He wasn't one of the originals chosen. The players that are their now are good enough to win and can do highlight dunks and moves so I can care less about Vince being in the Olympics. It shows how good our country is when our replacements, replacements can win Gold, although we haven't yet.

We don't need him simple as that. However, it would be good if he was on the team though. But he planned on getting married this summer, which is a big step. Spending your life with a special person should be and was his number one priority so I don't blame him.

im glad hes not going. he's already won the gold...i say, chill out, spend time in the gym strength training and conditioning...make sure you have a healthy nba season. thats exactly what he's doing and it shows his commitment to being a top player

Got it off ebay a year ago. Its a 2 disc set of vince carter highlights. From high school to the end of the 2002-2003 season. 6 hours of awesomeness. Just go to ebay and search for "Vince Carter DVD" its still on there I think.

there's a 2 disc DVD set from the NBA (dunks, ankle breakers) that are relatively new...
if you can... check them out... they're both great...
and the 'dunks' one has most NBA'ers saying that their favorite dunker is Vince... and then it's just about 20 minutes of straight Vince goodness.

(i think both DVD's run for about an hour of highlights and clips from players)
I'd DEFINATELY recommend checking them out.

How do you know I'm canadian, when just my location is stated? Anyways I am Canadian, but when it comes to international ball I'm with America, and I can care less about Canadian Team Ball. Though I do have lots of Family American ties with me..

^ The Canadian team actually played really well in Sydney and were medal contenders.
